Rather spendy at approx. $25 per plate for combos, but the food has nice flavors. Skinny people will enjoy eating here IMO. For those of us with bigger appetites, you can add a side of fried rice to your combo plate, for example, but you have to wait for your side to be prepared after your meal and take it home with you. This happened the first three times to us, but the third time I refused to accept our sides in take home boxes, so the whole crew, manager, cook, and waitress came to our table to plead for my reconsideration. They seemed to feel that the cash register printed bill has rigid finality, so I had to argue my position that the waitress never returned as we expected and never checked back with us until presenting the bill after we were done eating, and that TWICE previously I relented and waited for sides to be prepared for take home, but no more! Correct my bill! As this haggling went on I noticed the Asian waitress hanging her head as if shamed and perhaps fearful, but I was trying to make a point and hoping for reform. So it ended distressing for all, and I am of the opinion that a nice meal is not just about food but also atmosphere; meal time should be pleasant experience, a time for pleasant conversation and so forth, which we might have ended with if the un-served sides had been cheerfully deleted from my bill but I had to really assert myself repeatedly and felt badly for the waitress. So we stopped dining there. Perhaps 6 months later we began dining there again but we go rarely now. Then recently I ordered a lunch combo with 2 sides of fried rice TO GO and my waitress I recognized as an experienced one so I even tipped generously during pre-payment. You have to pay up front for to go orders. So I took the big brown paper sack she handed me to my wife's work, which my wife would share with Co-workers and.... no side orders at all, only the combo lunch. So after apologizing to all, and explaining this always happens, I went back for a refund of all side orders and my waitress said she maybe could not refund since I had paid with bank card; it took her many repeated and varying efforts but she finally got it done though the refund would take few days to process. So my tip to you is if you eat in and order any side orders, use your cell phone to call the restaurant from your table to get a waitress to bring your sides while you are dining. And if ordering to go, place an order, pay, then place a second order and pay a second time so you keep your orders simple. (I have yet to try this but it seems like it ought to work). But the flavors are good and if you are a light eater you won't need side orders anyway. In summary, you can enjoy a nice meal with nice atmosphere as long as you don't complicate things by ordering more than one...
Read moreOur experience started off great. We got seated immediately, the sun was shining directly into my eyes so I took it upon myself to move, which they were completely ok with. The service was prompt as it usually is when there is nobody in the restaurant. I ordered a lemonade and my boyfriend ordered a water with a lemon and his water tasted more like lemonade than my lemonide did. We ordered a King Crab Crunch Sushi Roll and he ordered the chicken hibachi and I ordered the steak hibachi. Our food came out before our sushi, which is unusual. Our meat and vegetables were very good, our noodles were disgusting. Spaghetti noodles at best, boiled and soggy, soy sauce didn't even help. Our Sushi came out when we were about half way done with our meal and we each ate half of a bite of the roll and it was the worst thing either of us have ever tasted. It was NOT KING CRAB, NOT EVEN MOCK CRAB, IT WAS TUNA, PINK RAW TUNA. IT SMELLED LIKE TUNA AND TASTED LIKE TUNA. I complained to the waitress and she made all kinds of excuses and finally said she would get her manager. The manager came over and said it was King Crab, I didn't get a word in and she grabbed my receipt and stormed off. I had already paid, the manager then came back and proceeded to rip me a new butt saying how it was King Crab and not Tuna and they don't lie and they have been there for 3 years without 1 single complaint ever. She was by far one of the rudest most unprofessional managers or people I have ever dealt with. I got my card back and paid in full and even left a tip for our less than average waitress. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER GO BACK. I HIGHLY ADVISE TO STEAR CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!! DISGUSTING!!!! SEVERAL HOURS LATER AND ALL I CAN TASTE IS TUNA AND I HATE...
Read moreI give the sushi a 5/5 stars! But if I could give the service zero stars, I absolutely would. Upon arriving, our waiter, Connor, would not give my daughter (age11) a menu even after I asked twice. We ordered 2 hibachi steak, and a steak hibachi JR for our daughter. They did NOT serve us or give us the option to get a soup or salad, (which normally come with the entrees). When our food got to the table, he wouldn’t give our kid a metal fork. He had given her a plastic fork which kept bending and when I asked for a silver fork, he brought her another plastic one. And then after he realized how annoyed I was, he finally brought her a silver fork. I’m unsure if the plastic silverware is a kids policy- but reality check, nobody wants to eat hibachi with plastic silverware! I’m unsure if it was a language barrier, or first time waiting tables, but our service was horrible. The noodles that come with the hibachi were not the greatest- I’ve had better. The meat was delicious, and the atmosphere was up to par with your typical hibachi restaurant. 2/5 stars for...
