This place is really pretty, everyone loves the plants. The coffee is good and prepared well. The food is expensive and fairly scant portioning. The eggs are cooked in a microwave. They were out of some part of all 4 things we ordered. They didn't adjust the price or substitute anything for the missing ingredients. The addition of avocado (they use guacamole) to the breakfast sandwich was 1.50 extra with no adjustment for the removal of the meat. They did say we could have cheese instead, but microwaved eggs made me imagine microwaved cheese and it just didn't sound good. The chia pudding was really liquid, not pudding like, more like water. The overnight oats only had 2 pieces of dried fruit in it, but is was well made otherwise. Maybe it was just an off prep day? That said, oats, chia pudding, and 2 coffees was $28 before tip. 1 cookie is $4, so we didn't get it.
There is no way to go to the bathroom from the inside, you have to walk all the way around the building, even though the bathroom is inside.
It's nice inside, the music isn't too loud, and they carry lots of pretty things. I will go back, but just for coffee. I will...
Read moreGreat coffee and food. The baked goods at time of this review are from Kellys French Bakery in Santa Cruz and are top notch. The atmosphere is tranquil and the two staffers I spoke with were pro. It's odd to finally see inside after driving past so many times since it was a little market here. I had zero idea what it had turned into other than just another coffee place. Be warned or informed, this is a high end coffee place with great coffee and Bay Area pastries with the standard Bay Area discount ( higher prices). It's worth it if you enjoy this kind of quality (yes there is a difference) which i definitely do. 10$ for a great coffee and an amazing banana bread is the kind of treat that I enjoy. I will do the cinnamon roll next time. Same day I had just bought a lesser coffee from another establishment in Moss, then decided to give this place a try and hope for better. Acheivment unlocked. This will be a new regular stop for me. Regarding plants and gifts, the place smelled great and the person behind the counter was friendly and ready to answer...
Read moreCute place…love all of the plants and the play on words between the name, interior and the location near the power plant! My husband found the dark roast to not be very dark but more like a medium roast. I was disappointed in the tea selection as the only black tea the offered was Earl Grey. Not everyone wants a tea with added flavors. I would have liked a pure black such as a breakfast tea, Oolong, Darjeeling or similar, so I didn’t order a beverage. We did enjoy our pastries and the frittata. The young woman at the register seemed a tad new and perhaps in need of some additional training, but she was friendly even though saddled with warming food while taking orders as well. Line was a bit slow moving. We’ll definitely return next time we pass through. It’s too bad they put some of the food that needs to be heated (such as the frittata) into plastic clamshell containers. What a waste when you’re...
