At last! After over a year long wait, Coffeeville has graduated out of their hole-in-the-wall "temporary" home into the newly built out curbside space in the East Lake Shopping Center. With the new quarters comes an expanded food and beverage menu, "real" cups for drinks on site, indoor seating, and more. Made my first visit with a friend last week, and had the hands down best flat white I've had since returning from the UK. Quibbles: I hope that, over time, the decor evolves and develops more "personality." At this point it's a little stark. And, it's a mystery to me just why the space wasn't laid out with more room on the "public" side of the counter for tables and chairs. I buy my coffee beans here too - super fresh and perfectly roasted, at a reasonable price. The only problem is the service is really slow. I wish they would have some ready bagged beans available so we didn’t have to wait for them to finish making a bunch of drinks to then go searching for an empty bag of the right size and correct label and then scoop and weigh the beans. How hard can it be to look at sales and estimate the number of bags sold per week per roast and pre prep like 80% of them. It would really streamline the whole process and leave more time for making food and drinks for customers who are...
Read moreThis place really has the potential to set the standard, BUT it is far from being great just yet. Should i support small local business ? Yes but only if they offer goodness & a worthy product. Here the shop layout is... strange. Awkward. off camber. Flow is. Menu poorly located hard to notice way up in that dark corner. What about the pastries ? They look low quality &unappealing. Staff seems sluggish, lacking teamwork & organisation of work flow. With a little help & good advice it could become a cool destination café sorta like Voyager coffee. Let's hope they rise to...
