Guys Grille Gyros & More — Restaurant in Wauconda

I do not recommend this place to anyone only and only because of how the owner/manager spoke to me. I had a delivery order which included veggie hummus wrap which had no hummus hence, I called to tell them that I see no hummus and this person at first says its on the bottom of the bag in a cup and I told that's just a sauce, he was adamant that no we gave you hummus, so I sent him a picture of everything I received. I called him back to ask if he received it and if he can let me know where it was, so now he says no its in the wrap but you can't see it and spoke very harsh and I was like why would I call you otherwise. So he was like you are saying my cook is lying? And i said no but mistakes are possible then in turn he replied than I have to fire him because he is not making stuff per your standards and is lying to me too. By then I had lost it and told him he really doesn't know how to treat a customer or his employees instead of taking responsibility he is being arrogant and mean.. he said this is how I make my food you like it good if not sorry, i can't send someone again to please you and give you a free sandwich as he already got me a delivery (for which I was charged $3 plus additional tip that I paid to the delivery man) I didn't force a delivery sercice first of all, i just asked as the website mentioned it! He is like you want something free come and pick it up.. as if I couldn't afford to pay for my food? This was possibly my worst ever experience with any restaurants that I have ever been.. the person has absolutely no respect for his customers feedback and assuming if any employee does make a mistake he will probably just fire them.. OVERALL THE FOOD WAS ALSO NOTHING COMPARED TO THE NEARBY...

Absolutely the worst Gyro I've had in my life. Taste was horrible. Also had fried mushrooms, same thing, awful tasting. Both items looked great on my tray, on first bite of each told me YUCK. I usef a coupon, it took three staff to figure out if I could use it. Yes I could. Even with another coupon I would never return again.

Too bad menu seemed to have many choices. The inside looked like it could use a good scrub and the TV wasn't working. Soda machine in main dining area was on the fritz, they tried and tried to fix it, just the clear soda water came out of every choice. They didn't let you know when picking up food in back. So after getting your food, discovering that pop machine in main diving room (serve yourself type) wasn't working, had to get back in line to get pop at order desk in the back while your food is out front in main dining area. Think they could have been telling customers while picking up food in baked, as their employees were the ones trying to fix it.

Guy who took my order was nice but at first he told me I had to spend 20 bucks on myself to use it. It did not say that anywhere on coupon. I said I can't eat that much food and it didn't not specify what had to be spent. So then he got some more staff to help him figure out my coupon. All afternoon the taste of the awful tasting things I had stayed in my mouth. I love gyros and know how they should taste.

I think the place specializes in Mexican food. Maybe they shouldn't serve gyros. I have never rated a rating of any place I have been to so...

This is Wauconda’s hidden gem of a restaurant I went there yesterday for a sirloin beef sandwich and it was absolutely fantastic it had green peppers and grilled onions that were perfectly caramelized. I went there on a fluke I went there to get hotdogs because it’s the only drive-through has a place in Wauconda that I know of anyway and I read the menu because there’s a few people ahead of me and I saw steakburgers I said beautiful. I got home and ate the thing and when I finished I called the restaurant back and tell him how fantastic as it was attached to the owner and he explained to me that he only is it fresh I juice the sirloin sandwich and it rocks that I’m going there now to get more I have a friend coming in from the town is around taking him as welmPlease note I’m using Siri on the iPhone to type this from my phone on my phone and I have no idea what it says or what kind a weird iMessage that she made with my typing but I will fix it later when I have more time right now I’m coming to see...
