If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered two medium pizzas and an order of chicken wings tonight (5/4/16) from the pizza hut in Waukee IA . We got an email saying our card was declined "due to invalid card number" alright Duely noted it happens especially when you have big fingers trying to order from the online ordering....I called and talked to a young lady and explained what had happened with big fingers trying to type in numbers she was very friendly and completed our order with the correct card number given to her verbally by me. She told us it would take a half hour when in fact we got it in 22 minutes so even better considering at this point it was now 9:20 pm and YES our pizza is early....we received our order and got boneless chicken wings when in fact my fiance will not eat boneless wings ever and swears 100% he ordered regular bone in hot wings.I will believe him over any human being trying to tell me the bullshit. Regardless of the fact when calling back in saying we received the wrong order I get told from "the store manager" that she copied and pasted the order and we ordered boneless. Alright alright.....well it could have been an online fat finger punch error. A normal business would have apologized and corrected the order regardless of fault. She proceeded to tell me I was a liar and she had the order in front of her and that I was more than welcome to come into the store and see for myself. Disgusted at this point I asked to speak to the manager she told me she was the "store manager" beings she sounded like she was 12 years old I knew no way no how she could be running that store talking to customers the way she was and called her out on it. I told her I wanted to speak with HER manager she said to me "is that all" I said yes thinking I would be speaking to the actual manager....when in fact I get hung up on. I call back she answers I said before you hung up on me you forgot to give me your managers contact information literally she's yelling through the phone at me tells me she does NOT give out that information but will "give my information to him" I tell her I'm appalled at the way as a "store manager" how she treats her customers she continues to yell thru the phone nothing but disrespectful and once again hangs up on me. So I get hung up on two times from this employee! I immediately goggled the 800 customer service number to pizza hut to make them aware of this "manager"....the customer service representative was very sympathetic and accommodating and offered 3 large free pizzas. I explained to him I was not calling for free items and that I wanted to make him aware of the current employee claiming to be the "store manager" acting out on complete disrespect and clearly has no clue in the customer service department. The representative apologized to me and was trying to make things right as should be. I told him it was clearly not his fault but again felt the need to make him aware of this employee whom is supposed to be representing this franchise. I was absolutely disgusted to be talked to the way I was from this young girl whom should be a lady but in no way did she act like one. The customer service rep again was doing everything to make this right apologized over again. I hope I hear from the actual store manager in Waukee and also hope for the company that they rid of the disgrace that is the "face" of them now. I can now see why the pizza hut in Waukee Iowa has 2 star overall review. Very disappointing considering it in a honesty is my fiance and I's guilty pleasure. Props to the customer service representative. Very respectful apologetic man which is how it should be. But I should have never had to contact him in the first place especially to apologize for someone else's wrong doing. Never will I order from that location again as long as she is working there. So appalled.....just...
Read moreOrdering from here gets worse and worse every time we do it. The delivery takes way too long. Being "out for delivery" for 45 minutes is unacceptable. Showing up an hour after the estimated time is also unacceptable.
The pizza is rarely hot when it arrives. Not sure if they throw it in the bed of the pickup and make 36 other deliveries and take lunch break on the way or what, but we almost always have to reheat the pizza when it arrives.
The last couple of times we have been given the wrong number of wings or they were poorly sauced, or both. 8 isn't a difficult number to count, but for some reason the people filling orders get hung up around the 5th or 6th wing and stop there. If we were ordering 40+ wings, maybe keeping track of that many might be harder, but it's 8. You don't even need to take off your shoes to count that high.
It's not like we're asking the employees here to draft legal briefs or perform life saving surgery. All I want is to get a hot pizza and the right number of wings.
Now that Papa John's has a stuffed crust pizza, we can go ahead and stop being disappointed by this Pizza Hut and get a hot pizza and the correct number of wings for a change
EDIT 6/27/24 Tried to order for this location again and did not receive everything I ordered. I even tipped so I feel like I should have gotten everything I ordered. Read moreHorrible experience tonight. I don't normally order from Pizza Hut, but tonight I wanted to give them a try. Placed my order online a little before 7pm and pre-paid with my CC. Got a confirmation email that my Pizza will be delivered within 40 mins. Fair enough. An hour goes by since I placed my order and no sign of the driver. I called the local number. Got the Pizza Hut call center. Joy. After waiting on hold for 10 mins, I got a hold of someone. After being put on hold by them for another 10 mins, I find out that my Pizza was out for delivery and was given a code for $4 off my order. Yay. So here I have a 3 year old who need to be in bed by 8:30pm, and we still have no sign of our food. Another 20 mins go by, and the driver finally shows up . . . with the WRONG order! After the driver told me that there was no charge and left, I called the Pizza Hut call center to get the Manager's info so we can have a little convo about my experience. They didn't have it on file, and can't confirm if I will not be charged for the pizza. Awesome So after looking at the ticket on the box, I see I got some poor Sap's order, and that they were due over an hour as well. I hope they enjoyed my order, cause I sure as Hell was looking forward to it! This store sucks. Will NEVER order from them again. Now I have a very fussy, hungry and tired 3 year old to deal with.
