Antojitos Tonatico — Restaurant in Waukegan

We had a family gathering that was supposed to be special, but it turned into a terrible experience🫤. The waitress, ALE, was rude from the start: she left the drinks at the corner of the table without serving them and gave no explanation whatsoever.

When we asked to speak with the manager, we were denied not once but twice, with the excuse that they were "too busy." We requested separate checks, which were also refused under the pretext of “business policy.”😨 When we insisted, one of the staff members threatened to call the police, simply because we wanted something as basic as fair payment.

It’s clear that this establishment’s main priority is securing the 20% gratuity, regardless of providing decent service or respecting its customers. The lack of professionalism from the manager, who refused to address the situation, and the mistreatment from the staff are completely unacceptable.

What was supposed to be a memorable family moment ended up as a bitter experience filled with injustice...

When there on mother's day with my family . First time coming and didn't think about the experience. We entered and we weren't sure to sit down or wait. So we sat and no waitress noticed us for about 7 min. Finally someone came and took our orders. I noticed that the tables near us were not clean and had plates their. We waited for our food. Okay. The tables were still not cleaned!! Not only that but we had desert and the flan tasted very dry. We waited for our bill but no one bothered. After 10 min, some girl who looks like 10 yrs old gaved us the bill. Didn't felt nice nor welcoming restaurant. Also, one out of the 3 tables were finally cleaned!!! Wat? Talk about...

We drive all the way frome Janesville Wisconsin just to be able to eat real Mexican food I believe that this is the only town in Waukegan Illinois that actually makes real Mexican food anyone who really wants it this is the place to go they brought real Mexican food all the way from Mexico I wouldn't change anything in this place it's perfect more then perfect here in Janesville Wisconsin they have Mexican restaurants but none of there food actually taste like Mexican food like they try to cook it's just that there food is not 100 percent Mexican food there food is from other countries around Mexico and it doesn't taste all that great they should bring it here...
