Able Pawn Shop — Local services in Waukegan

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! I came in searching for a smart TV and found one as soon as I came in, I had never purchased anything at a pawn shop before so I made sure I was well informed before ANY purchase was made. BEFORE I bought the TV I asked LARRY if I could return the TV if any issues were to come up and he said YES!!! That I could get my money back and everything and the next day I noticed on the receipt that it said no returns and all sales finals, I immediately called the pawn shop and store manager JOSE refused to give me my money back after HIS EMPLOYEE gave me the wrong information. Jose only offered me store credit. What am i supposed to do with $150 worth of store credit at a pawn shop??? And this being my first ever purchase in one isn’t it clear that I don’t shop there??? The customer CANNOT be to blame for something YOUR EMPLOYEE told them....

Nice stuff on the inside but darn the employees have the worst customer service. First of all as soon as I walked in they surrounded me, one kept his hand in his holster like by his side and just kept following behind me. While 2 other employees started already trying to sell me things I didn't want. I wanted to browse the guitars but they kept saying stuff like "this a nice TV for you only today man" "oh you like that Amp, you could take it today man I'm giving you a good deal, but only today" "you like x box?! We got x boxes here buddy". I declined to everything and they actually came outside to the parking lot as I was pulling out to say "alright man I'll knock off $50 but only for you man, If you take it right now" I almost felt harrased. Idk, weird chlostrophobic...

Extremely I mean just a bunch of dirt cheap workers who have no class at all without even saying hello they try to beat you down on what you bring in they seem proud of the fact that knowing most people are in need of money or they would not be selling valuable items they try to find the smallest scratch and must knock off bucks, knowing that most people know things from a pawn shop aren't in perfect condition as long as they work properly is the main thing, I would go without food or medicine before I gave them any business, go to FAMILY JEWELRY AND LOAN there they treated me right and were very polite. half...
