Fresh food done on the spot with precision. The sushi rolls are great...Hopefully they will expand that part of the menu in the future 😀 this post in 2023 This past week 11-2024, I called in an order like I have the last 4 years. New people saying they took over for the young man who started this awesome business. They said they are family. I got my Hurricane roll and found it 90-95 % rice!!! For an increased price of 11 dollars. I called back asking for a refund, they refused that but offered a new one. I was going to give them a second chance but I had to wait till early the next week due to work and life issues. Well...I called in for a roll, went there in 30 minutes, and the woman's attitude was not nice at all...I let her know that the prior owner was nice, had actual meat and veggies in his rolls, and never make food so poorly and then try to defend the bad food. This is very sad that the people who took over don't care about the high quality food that the young man and his coworkers made...and instead lowering the reputation of this business. Julius Sayavong makes the best food...please come back for Waukesha!!! 5 stars for his business he ran!

Hibachi Boooooyyyyy. I was so excited to try this restaurant! I pass it every day and was so intrigued. We entered and already loved the vibe, decor, music- all Japanese influenced and looked very tasteful. The servers were extremely kind and helpful. We ordered Boba, Teriyaki Beef, and General Chicken. Boba was delish- Taro and Strawberry and Banana. The latter tasted really bananany. Taro was perf. (This boba has the typical tapioca tea pearls, the drink is liquid and served cold - not ice or slushy as some of been) The entrees were really salty. First Impression, great flavors- but every bite we realized how salty it really was. I loved the crispness of the General Chicken breading, the beef had a good chew and not gamey at all and good flavor. Fried rice was average and tasty, noodles I personally didn't like the flavor but my husband liked them. General Chicken IS spicy, about medium heat. We had a big plate, but managed to finish it all in one setting between the two of us. We were stuffed. Average good potstickers.

Was looking for local boba and came across this place! I got a pretty basic sushi roll but it was delicious, plus the cross section was soooo beautiful. You could tell there was care put into it. Everything was spot on flavor wise, possibly a liiiiittle lackluster… The sweet & sour served with the fried pork bites was definitely very sweet. The tea in my drink was absolutely fabulous, but the boba itself was undercooked to the point of borderline inedibility… There are some stellar reviews of their boba though, so I’m excited to try it again (today could have just been a fluke for sure). Also excited to try more of their menu!! Staff was super friendly and pleasant, even the store itself is cute — Very clean, too! Will definitely be back :) **EDIT: I’ve had the boba again and the pearls were over cooked this time… Lol! Tea drink was ok but not super flavorful. I got taro today and Thai last time (get the Thai!). Drunken noodles were crazy good, tons of veggies and so full of flavor. Will be back!

If I could give it a negative or no stars I would. Hands down the worst food I've ever had from any establishment.. EVER. I ordered chick pad Thai and a mango boba tea. The pad thai was bright pink in color..the noodles were old congealed and stuck together. There was 12 chunks of bland unseasoned OVER BOILED chicken. A piece of very dried out lime and a couple sprigs of cilantro mixed with some sparse veg and maybe ten pieces of peanut. I could watch a Google video and make better pad thai... oh.. wait I did ! You should be ashamed to sell food of this poor quality . Like who does that?! It was disgusting. Made me wish I had gone nextdoor to the gas station 24/7 and bought some gas station sushi . No joke. Oh and last but not least. The boba tea.. was supposed to be mango. 🥭🥭 . They gave me tamarind... Are freaking kidding me ? I've called a handful of times and no one answers . It just rings . I'll be ordering from golden gate restaurant from now on. Do better. Love your response. You're a terrible service operator as well. Your food was terrible. Your attitude stinks and I'll be sharing your response on every social media platform. YOU'RE FOOD IS TERRIBLE. YOIR CHICKEN IS Completely BOILED . IT EAS PURE WHITE AND THE SAUCE IS NOT RED WHEN IT IS SPREAD OVER OLD NOODLES STUCK TOGETHER IN A STYROFOAM BOX. YOUR BOBA IS ALSO TERRIBLE. I've been in their industry for 22 years . So nice try. My review is more than fair and accurate . DO BETTER . With food prices as high as they are .. people can get better quality at panda Express over what you are serving...

I had a very unfortunate second experience at Hibachi Boy. The first time I tried it a few months ago, it was absolutely great. Staff was friendly, wait wasn’t too bad, food tasted great and everything I ordered was there. Wonderful experience!

Contrast that with today’s experience... 1.) The person taking my order was talking very quietly, could barely hear him (face masks didn’t help, so I’ll give him that). 2.) I was told the wait time would be 45mins to 1hr AFTER I paid for the order, in person. It took 1hr 15mins to receive the order. Would’ve been nice of them to bring that up before ordering. 3.) After about 50mins, I asked someone if they could check and see how much longer it would be, and he didn’t come back to give me any response at all. 4.) When it was finally “ready”, the woman bringing the order out apologized because they ran out of sides... I was given a “coupon” for a free meal next time. (I’m not sure that there will be a next time, unfortunately) 5.) The chicken entree tasted good. The beef entree was good, except for the hair that I found in it. Lastly, the sushi was okay, but seemed like it may have sat out for awhile.

While I was impressed with the first visit and was very excited to take my girlfriend there for my second visit, I don’t see a third visit happening anytime soon. Hopefully they can get things figured out, because this place has...

This place is a JOKE!!!! The messed up my order on 3 different occasions. Instead of calling you when an item runs out they just short your meal. So someone doesn’t have a meal that night. I will NEVER order food from them again! PERIOD!!!!! Plus they are WAY overpriced for what you get. The 1st time we had it was awesome, after that it was like eating garbage! This place will close down soon! Actually SIR, I will correct my statement. Last nights meal I took 3 bite and threw it out and I waited more than 5 min. On another TERRIBLE visit at your so called restaurant\ dump. With my order we ordered the Badger rolls and when I went to pick them up they said they were OUT so instead of calling me and telling me you were out I had a family member had to make something else for dinner. Your restaurant will definitely close because of terrible food and service. Just remember word of mouth about BAD restaurants is GREAT advertising too! $45 for 3 small meals is a ripoff. Plus the last time I was there you turned away people from ordering because you were OUT of food. They looked confused! How could a restaurant run out of food??? Poorly run, that’s how! Good...
