Sal’s Pizza Waukesha — Restaurant in Waukesha

We ordered a catered meal from Sal's last week for our Christmas party at a senior apartment complex. Ashley was very helpful in placing the order and getting the amount of food right we needed for the number of residents we were serving. She was wonderful in getting everything spot on. The food we ordered, Chicken Fettucine Alfredo was amazing, there were good sized pieces of very tasty chicken and the sauce was not overly buttery even when heated up the following day! We also had the Mostaccioli which was also delicious. There was salad that was included with the large trays of pasta, and it was AMAZING. It had alot of veggies along with the lettuce. It was a beautiful salad. Also included with the pasta trays was garlic bread, HUGE pieces. There was alot of detail put into the meal and all of us appreciated how good the food was. Everything down to the delivery. Now we are close by the restaurant, but everything came nice and hot and was delivered 5 minutes early. I would definitely recommend Sal's to anyone wanting great quality and outstanding service and attention to detail. I am surprised to see anything less then 5 stars for Sal's. Just reconnected with Sal's recently. Had eaten them often back when they stopped in the dealerships I was at. It was always a race to get items before they were all taken. Always fast delivery at home now. The delivery person is extremely nice too. Everything has always been great! Experiment and try the Gyros pizza. It is fantastic. A friend that does not like gyros sandwiches much loved this pizza. The Taco pizza is loaded with toppings and delish. Love all the black olives! The Italian Pizzas are great as well. Tons of cheese. We often add a daily special of pasta, it freezes well. I plan on taking pictures every time but everyone wants to get at it quick. Someday I hope to see a Rueben pizza on the menu or for a test special. I had one once that was super, I bet if they did it here it would knock my socks off. Keep up...

No offense to Sals - it’s probably decent pizza. But I ordered it for the 1st time and was severely disappointed. We had kids sleepover and ordered a cheese and a pepperoni. The Cheese pizza didn’t resemble a cheese pizza in any way shape or form. A pile of dough caked/topped in some sort of red sauce. I guess we clicked the wrong button when ordering - no idea what that thing is. The pepperoni pizza didn’t appear to have any epperoni and then we later discovered it was under the cheese. The crust was like 6” high. Was not a pepperoni pizza.

Just a terrible experience. Kids hated it. Had to go to store and buy frozen ones.

Make sure you know what you’re ordering. The other reviews pics look great. I’ve ordered pizzas 100+ times in my life. What was delivered was just not appealing at all, to say the least.
