Very friendly from the moment we came in, didn’t feel forced at all. Sat quickly. 5/5
Didn’t take long for our server to come and help us, despite a large volume at the time we came in. Regular check-ins made service easy, including when it came to upcharges. If you’re not careful, you can lose control of what you add, as many things are up-charged. Our server Asche did a great job of balancing fun customer interaction with serving the restaurants interests as well.
We ordered French Toast, Eggs Benedict (with fruit as the side,) a side of the house seasoned cubed red potatoes, and a side of bacon. For drinks we got Lemonade and Orange Juice. Total bill came out to a little less than $50.
Drinks: Lemonade was a little sweet for me, but my partner enjoyed. 4/5 on lemonade. Orange Juice was really good, not too pulpy, not too sweet. 5/5
Sides: Fruit was all-around good, had a little too much “filler fruit” (cantaloupe, honeydew) but if those are your style, it’s perfect. Wish it had more pineapple, but that’s personal preference. 3.5/5 Potatoes were well seasoned for a diner, but I still added more salt/pepper and we ended up adding ketchup or hot sauce based on our tastes. 4.5/5 Bacon was greasy, had pretty good taste, but wasn’t my favorite. 3.5/5
Mains: French toast was amazing! We got strawberries on top and a strawberry compote on the side. Well cooked, not too eggy, and overall a good experience. I also note that the maple syrup here was not just “diner-quality,” but actually quite decent in quality. 5/5 Eggs Benedict was all it needed to be, the hollandaise tasted perfect. My only complaint was the ratio of the ingredients. The Canadian Bacon is thickly cut, so it came through quite strong compared to the smaller (but properly poached) egg. The Large English Muffin didn’t help correct...
Read moreWe’ve visited this establishment many times and have never once been disappointed! If you’re looking for a diner style / Greek restaurant for breakfast or lunch in the Waukesha area with a killer menu this is hands down the spot to go! Crepes? Delightful. Omelettes? To die for. Southern Benedict? Perfection!
However, this review is not just an ode to an excellent menu. This review is a shout out to an exceptional staff! The manager (I think his name was John?) wholeheartedly saved our butts this weekend. We visited Sunday afternoon and were treated to the usual service and scrumptious meals. 😋 After heading home (not in Waukesha because yes, it is worth us making a 40 minute trip just to eat here), we realized my son had left his retainer and retainer case behind! If you’re a parent who has dealt with Ortho, you know how expensive a replacement can be. The Coop was already closed for the day, so we drove back in the next day. They were crazy busy (as usual… seriously expect a bit of a wait most days) and we were greeted politely by the manager and a hostess. To our pleasant surprise, the manager said they had indeed found it! That was followed shortly by, “uh oh, it’s not here, I think we threw it away.” We we’re bummed, but the manager took our number down and said he’d call if he found it. We hung around Waukesha for the day just in case. At 2:45 we got a call. Not only had they found it, the manager had gone above and beyond and literally searched the garbage cans after closing to find the retainer.
Not only does this place have amazing food and service, the staff truly cares about its patrons.
We’ll see y’all next weekend, and likely every weekend here on out. You’ve made regulars out of this...
Read moreSuch an improvement from the last time we went! The Coop was very busy, but we maybe waited 5-8 minutes to be seated. We were greeted with friendly smiles and amazing smells. As we got to our table our waiter was there shortly after to get started. We ordered a Coke and a Sprite. Believe me when I tell you this was the best fountain soda we have received from any establishment in a very long time. You can tell that the staff takes the time to clean their equipment and puts care into your experience. All the staff were very positive even after a few out of the ordinary questions. In terms of waiting for food, there was hardly any significant wait time at all. After about the 13 minute mark our waiter came over to let us know our food would be out shortly, low and behold it was to our table no longer than 1 and a half minutes later. Sadly I did not get a picture of the food, it all looked and smelled too tempting to wait. As we got half way through our plates we both looked at one another and decided neither of us would be needing a to-go box. All of the food that came to our plate exceeded our expectations and was satisfying to the last bite. All the fruit that we asked for was fresh and very tasty all in all. As a final comment, I'd like to commend The Coop for being busy as they were and still delivering a stellar experience from start to finish. Bring friends, family, or anyone in between to enjoy a meal with The Coop 👍
(The pictures I was able to take did not show justice to how busy they were, the main dining room was basically full when we...
