Edit: In response to the owner response we did wait exactly 1hr and 18 minutes and it was timed. The restaurant was nearly empty that day and the wait staff were only busy on their phones. It's interesting you should remember the exact day I am referring to since it was months before my review was written and the bill was paid in cash. I tend to take notes and then wait to write reviews to be certain I still feel the same way about a place after I have plenty of time to process the experience. In this case I do still feel exactly as the review is written. Unfortunately the rice was excessively salty and sticky. Maybe a clutzy cook slipped and dropped a salt shaker into the rice that day? Who knows. My facts are not incorrect, however the facts the owner has so generously presented below are in fact completely incorrect.
So disappointing in every way. We waited 1 hr and 18 minutes for our food to arrive. 2 tables that came in after us were both served first(the one was served in exactly 15 minutes.). The wait staff could not be reached. We walked up to the counter to ask about the food after 1 hour of waiting and they wouldn't make eye contact or answer. When the food arrived it was nice and hot,but some parts of my husband's meal were on my plate and vice versa. Once we got it all figured out and started eating we realized the food was horribly salty. So salty we both got sores in our mouths and were sick the remainder of the day. Even the sticky rice was inedibly salty. The only thing I've ever eaten that salty was salt directly out of the shaker. What a horrible disappointment. The two waitresses wouldn't make eye contact or answer questions at the table and we couldn't get more water because they wouldn't respond. We then waited for the check as well. It was a horrible experience and I would never go again. I know Vietnamese cuisine is very delicious, but this tasted nothing like it. It was just a...
Read moreNew to area 2nd dine in restaurant, 2 young boys were my servers. service was great, good service ( maybe because it was not busy) egg rolls were not really tasty, they were mushy inside and crispy skin, leads me to believe, pre-cooked and dropped to crispy, therwise not fresh, won't order again if this is thier process. 2 small spring rolls ,fingerling sizes , for the price, not worth it, aka, overpriced, also should be equal portion of ingredients, not 95% noodles and 2 sprigs of lettuce. spring rolls are meant to be fresh, full of crisp ingredients should be 50/50 noodles and vegetable ratio, wrapped in a decent full size roll. I recommend using larger wrappers or increase the rolls to more than just 2 in that price for fresh full presentation. The pho... was surprisingly full of flavor not oversalty! I recommend offering a one size bowl to save your kitchen labor. the pho is good people will order no matter what size it is, that is going to be your most popular seller, condense and focus on your labor workload to offer quality and freshness to your guests. I will return to try the rest of your menu! you have great potential to be the best pho in the...
Read moreThis is a great hidden gem in the area. Perfect for those cool rainy days, this meal will warm you from the inside out. The interior of this place is somewhat stark, but I think it's fine for what it is. The prices really can't be beat. I made the mistake of ordering a large and it was basically two meals in one. The spring rolls contain pork and shrimp and are delicious, the egg rolls are crispy and perfect. Hot tea is available along with 12oz cans of soda. I should also mention this could be a great spot for someone looking for a gluten free meatless meal, as they do offer a tofu and napa bowl that is very delicious. For your first time, order the combo appetizer and a small bowl to get the full experience. The tendon and meatballs were tops! Service was polite and quick, so this could be a great lunch break stop. You can easily have a satisfying meal here...
