Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Waveland

I am way too excited for this place to be here! Finally, somewhere I can get amazing smoothies made with fresh fruit ...I can even add protein and chia seeds (hello, omega-3s + protein 🙌). They’ve got fun wraps you can customize, and I’m obsessed with the “dillas” little quesadillas that are the perfect yummy treat. The yogurt bowls are just as good, and don’t even get me started on the açaí berry… WWHHAATTT. It’s like a little piece of healthy heaven in the middle of Mississippi surrounded by fried food.

On top of that, the prices are super reasonable, and the service is always so friendly. You can even call ahead and pick up at the window, so convenient. I also love that my family member who can’t cook for himself can still get healthy, filling meals here... it truly makes a difference. THANK YOU for opening, and please stay open forever....

I had a disappointing experience at this location. I ordered a Southwest Chicken Wrap with a Sunset Rise smoothie and waited while others were served at the drive-thru and front counter. When I finally asked about my food (not the smoothie because I received it shortly after I ordered), an employee quickly told me I hadn’t ordered it, despite me standing there with the receipt in hand.

No one asked to see my receipt or offered an apology. Instead, someone yelled from behind to “just make it,” as if I were lying. They eventually had a younger staff member bring the wrap to me and apologize, but the attitude from the rest of the team was unprofessional and dismissive.

I spend my money here and expect to be treated with BASIC respect. This experience was unacceptable, and I won’t be returning to this location...

Very very impressed with this place. The Thai Chicken salad is awesome. The peanut butter dressing is a homerun. The Oatmeal Chai Parfait made with oat milk and fresh fruit is awesome for breakfast. I can't have any dairy so that is perfect. The girls who work there are always friendly and knowledable. The manager with the Rollie Fingers mustache is always back working with his team and seems to care about the business. Last but not least. The watermelon mint smoothie is refreshing and low calorie which is something that is appreciated. You can get a good healthy meal here and they have good smoothies. We eat here take out 2 or 3 times a week for lunch and 2 or 3 times for dinner. Glad you came to the Bay and keep up the good work. We need healthy choices in this area badly!! Two...
