I just want to say that I have never had better customer service than today and at this place. Today and last Friday I ordered a Texas Sunrise Sandwich and they left off my bacon today and my egg last Friday. I didn’t call last Friday because I thought well hey things happen but when it happened this Friday I was like I’m gonna call because they may not be aware. I talked to the manager and wow was I blown away. He offered to deliver another sandwich to my work which of course I didn’t do because I had already ate. So, he gave me 2 sandwiches free on 2 separate visits to make up for the 2 that were messed up. I wasn’t even expecting that because I just wanted to make them aware that it was happening. Not to mention, we are living in stressful times (Covid) and people are out left and right from work. He explained but he never used it as an excuse either and was so sincere. He was willing to do whatever it took to make me a happy customer even though it wasn’t his mistake. Now that is a GREAT manager! This place will always have my business with a manager and customer service like that! Only thing I wish is that I remembered his name but I’m terrible with them...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to stop in Waycross for lunch. I opened Map Quest to search for local restaurants with good ratings and guided him to one. Before we entered the establishment's parking lot, he turned our truck around and drove here... like he was called. I was confused by his uncharacteristic behavior but just shook my head and followed him in. I was immediately impressed with the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness. After washing up, I headed to the order counter where my husband was engaged in conversation with a friendly man named Jerry. Yes, that Jerry. Wanting to learn more about his story, we invited him to join us at our table. I enjoyed a fresh tasting grilled chicken salad plate while my husband feasted on a truly southern meal of yummy fried pork chops, field peas, and okra with a side of sweet potato soufflé.
It was our pleasure meeting you, Jerry. You helped create a lasting impression and positive dining experience for us. We wish you and your family continued success and...
Read moreDon't get mad at me, my local people. I've dined out from 5 star restaurants along the beaches of Destin to Panama City Beach, but im a country boy, and I like country cooking. In my opinion, Jerry J's needs to update a newer menu. It's okay to keep some of the old favorites, but try some new things, try flavoring your canned beans, greens, and other vegetables. And don't let the popular items sit under the heating lamps so long. I could definitely tell my country fried steak had been out a while. Put someone in charge of timing these things, and if it doesn't get served within the allotted time frame and throw it out or make platters to donate and deliver to the destitute in your area. But change it up. Keep it interesting. Don't become a McDonalds or Burger King. Have a lasagna lunch or fresh catfish filet night. Take a risk, and I think you'll be surprised at how many more clientele visit more frequently and be open for suggestions of cooks who can and want to make homemade dishes. Just my 2...
