Sucks sucks sucks I can’t repeat that enough to you guys. Key things are that they have really cold food when you get it its hot by the time you get to your table it’s very cold because they have the cooling system on full blast some food just sits up there for 3 or more hours and they just leave it there, small selection the whole middle section is a salad bar and some desert, the Asian food sucks cold chicken and hard rice ew anyways lets start on this review. First we’ll start on the obvious The Price pretty expensive and you need a players card that’s valid last 90 days to get $2 off haha that’s pretty ridiculous they force you to gamble with that slot card just to get $2 off and if you dont have it you’ll end up paying a little over $30 for a mediocre buffet which I don’t recommend also you can purchase a small lobster tail for $6 or little more than that before you come in because after you come in and ask about it they will laugh at you as if you were informed I wasn’t informed I really thought that was part of the buffet also understandable if it isn’t should of been informed on that though. The unlimited crab legs is what got me in afterall went grabbed the crab legs got my butter started getting to it after i cracked the crab I notice I wasn’t provided with a crab fork anyone that eats crab knows this i ask for one they bring something thats plastic looks like a small pitch fork the devil carries it wasn’t small enough to pick the crab meat and I didn’t want it to brake it was plastic afterall so i start using my hands much easier and faster i start eating my crab dipping eating on my second leg that i break my butter is already hard you cant dip because in terms of butter it’s frozen back to its cold state because of how cold it was in the restaurant also my crab leg was no longer hot it was cold so i suck it up eat the legs that are left cold not a fan of cold food i finished the crab legs i go get some American food everything was hot chicken, the steak was tender, macroni and cheese good, mashed potatos was the best Ate that as quick as i could didn’t want it to get cold it got close but I ate it fast enough to enjoy it steak and mashed were the best, moved on to the mexican and Asian dishes i wasnt a fan on the asian food, also the Mexican food was the worst they shouldn’t even offer hispanic food you are better off eating out a garbage can these guys can’t replicate that at all that’s why the Mexican food just sat up there for hours everything was cold nobody wanted it you got the managers walking around like top flight security watching the customers eat when they should be making sure the food is hot the temps aren’t so cold where your food gets cold in a matter of 10 mins and walking around asking customers if the food is good and enjoyable all they do is cross their arms in front and stand in a cornor or move around from cornor to cornor like prison guards ridiculous worst place to eat for the price i could name a million places better in the...
Read moreAlthough I do agree of the overall rating of the buffet being 3.7 stars, I do think some of the reviews were a bit extreme. Come to this buffet with the expectation for buffet food and I think you’ll enjoy the experience more. My boyfriend and I came after experiencing a Vegas buffet and wanted something like this in area. This was the closest to where we live. Considering the market price of prime rib and crab legs, we felt the price was fair. The service was excellent. Food wise, the crab legs needed little forks , it was difficult to dig the meat out but the overall taste was good - it was just messy and work. My bf said the prime rib - although medium rare -was a bit dry. The pizza despite being from a pizza oven was not good but I didn’t expect much, the cheese bread however was perfectly cheesy and gooey. We skipped the salad bar but I did breeze past it and it looked fresh. The Asian section and Italian sections disappointed the most. The Alfredo wasn’t good and was the only vegetarian option and the Asian could have benefited from sushi rolls. We overall enjoyed the American/Chefs/Mexican sections. The guacamole and beans were flavorful. My boyfriend enjoyed the chimichangas and we both loved the mashed potatoes (wish I had gotten a plate of them) there was also a baked potato with a build your toppings section that looked good. The Mac and cheese disappointed me though. Too dry. Desserts - I truly saved the best for last. We filled a plate up of one of everything so we could sample it all. The strawberry mousse was so light and fluffy, the espresso cupcake (which was my fav) was rich and flavorful, and my boyfriend devoured the strawberry cheesecake. Every bite we had of the desserts was enjoyable though.
I’m not sure if we would come back, maybe on a non crab leg day, but I did truly overall enjoy...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite places to go when I’m craving crab legs. Sundays (And apparently Friday nights too) are the All-You-Can-Eat Crab Legs buffet days and if you love snow crab legs, you need to visit. Make sure to get a players card from the casino desk before visiting, as that will get you $5 off per person (per card).
Isn’t it the worst when you go someplace like Red Lobster or other seafood establishment, pay current crabby price for said crab, only to have it oversteamed and impossible to extract from the shells, or under steamed and coated in white, squishy yuckiness? It’s the worst! (Ok, first world problems so… not the worst, but you get it)
You won’t get that at the Harvest Buffet, and even if you do, you just tell the individual who is serving you 4-5 sets of delicious leggies that they were not cooked right, and you can bet the next batch will be cooked to perfection!
It’s always a mess when I leave; unfortunately, cracking open copious amounts of crab legs will splatter water and hot drawn butter across the table, but the staff is ready with napkins, wet naps and a bucket to dump the shells in. I always a couple lemons to rinse the crabby smell off my hands.
I’ve come here before with friends who don’t eat seafood, and the rest of the buffet is good enough for them as well. Check out the video I uploaded of the full buffet and all that it offers. The dessert island is another of my favored things about this buffet- they have a rotation of seasonal Hudsonville ice cream, as well as a pretty decent crème brûlée 😎.
There’s a reason I keep returning here despite the drive, and it’s because CRAB 🦀. 10/10...
