Let’s just start with, I cannot wait to get in contact with corporate on Monday. On Saturday (12/05/20) I called in and placed an order for delivery that added up to $68.28. It was a simple large order that included: 5 pizzas, 1 caesar salad, 1 mild wing, 1 small bread twist, & 1 large bread twist. Jay was the cashier who I spoke with on the phone that took this order and said it would arrive in 35-45 minutes. The delivery guy shows up with 5 pizzas and a salad. After I hand him a $10 tip and tell him I am missing my wings and bread twists he says sorry and says he will run back and even give me something free for my time. Before he leaves my house he finds 1 bread and the wings tucked behind his driver seat. Then says it was an accident and will come back with my large bread immediately. Twenty minutes later I call back dominos, speak to Jay again who claims the delivery man didn’t say a thing about my bread twists missing. Jay says he will get them made, but I need to wait a while since the delivery driver is out making runs. How am I not a first priority? The twists arrive 35 minutes later which is not what I already paid for! I call back again and Jay claims I am a liar, I got my two breads originally the first time the delivery man showed up, and I am trying to get free food, and lastly I am wasting their time and money. Well Jay your establishment is literally .9 miles from my home and you’re going to claim you’re so busy and you forgot the delivery drivers name? After all of this back and forth, I ask for a manager. Eric (the manager) jumps on the phone and asked what happened. I explain the entire situation and he admits they were in the wrong and wants to fix this. I said I want the delivery drivers first name and he says his boss above him said no don’t give it out. I ask to speak to his boss and he claims he is busy. I asked for corporates number and he tells me to “Google it.” I said “no you can do your job and give it to me.” Point is, the pizzas I ordered were cold and not in the insulated heating bag at all, the wings were hot not mild, and I specifically asked for 2 ranch not marinara (only recieved 1 ranch). Needless to say, I got all my money refunded, but only because I told them my Google reviews go a long way and because I told him I am calling corporate because of the customer service, refusal of speaking with his boss, and not giving the delivery drivers first name. The manager had this piss poor attitude of I don’t care if you call corporate because what are they going to do. Well Eric, I hope your boss above you reads this and actually makes some big changes to the way he runs his establishment.
UPDATE - This place still hasn’t gotten it together. I ordered a medium Hawaiian with no banana peppers through the app and still find them on my pizza anyways. The restaurant refused to make it right. Even three years later you still manage to screw over your customers and provide horrible customer service. We placed a carry out order and I was very specific about what we wanted, 2 italian sandwiches and an order of mild buffalo wings, simple enough, right? We picked the food up and went home. I opened the boxes and instead of 2 italian sandwiches there were 2 bacon chicken sandwiches, how do you mix up those 2? They dont even sound the same! Irritated, and not feeling well (the reason I got carry out) I called and told the manager, she was super rude and implied It was me who screwed up and told them the wrong order, umm, no, the words bacon chicken ranch never left my mouth! My daughter waa sitting right there and heard me, so she says I can bring the sandwiches back and she will remake them, how kind! What about my time and inconvenience? So she says she will send 2 mini lava cakes for my time only after I said something! I go get the food and took the wrong sandwiches with me, a good manager would tell the customer just to keep them since they are just going to throw them out anyways! Not this one, they took them from me and put them right in the trash! A real manager would say, geez Im sorry we screwed up and for wasting your time, since we are going to toss the food anyways why don't you just keep it? Not them! They would rather throw out food then let the customer keep it for THEIR mistake! in addition to ALL this, the subs were horrible! over cooked stale bread, small serving, barely any meat, no sub sauce, just plain gross! the wings were disgusting and tasted grilled, NOT buffalo, and were the smallest I ever seen, the lava cake she gave us was so burnt to a crisp we couldnt even eat it. Our total should have been $18 and change but we were charged $20 and change, its not a big amount its just the principle, food was cold and gross, management and employees were rude and refuse to acknowledge when they make a mistake and dont want to make it right! I will never order from this dump again, if they dont fire this piss poor manager and horrible employees they are going to lose all their bus ones and run this place into the ground. Read moreJust went to Domino's at this location. 12/7. The wait staff was nice and professional. I ordered via the app, and the app indicates you will receive a reward if you are an rewards person. At the very least based on the information on the app you will receive a reward, maybe a cookie or lava cake or something similar. Well I did not receive anything. Went on to have a conversation with the manager. After a lengthy conversation it was determined that this is based on a random selection based algorithms.
Heaven forbid with algorithms being on the Forefront of many conversation it's almost pitiful to imagine one person receiving and one-person not as there are implications on how randomly it is selected. Additionally it was not implied nor said on the app. Thank you Brad, manager of the store for the explanation.
As many times I frequent this specific location, this is my very first time I heard of such AND it is not mentioned in the app, so I am to believe suddenly there is a random selection process.
I believe I need to take my patronage to either a different location or a place beyond Domino's. I do enjoy the location on Middlebelt and 5 Mile. Wonderful people and you get a reward for your patronage.
