Yesterdays Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Weatherford

Last few visits they couldn't get our very small order right: asked for toasted, got uncoated; asked and paid for cheese, got no cheese; asked for a chocolate chip or macademia nut cookie, they were out; asked for ice cream (which they advertise on their written menu AND their website, told they didn't carry ice cream...) Their tortilla soup is waaay too spicy for the average Joe, so be prepared! Breads are good as usual. Just seems like the service and hometown friendliness have gone by the wayside! Parking at lunchtime is ALWAYS a challenge as is finding an available table to sit and enjoy your lunch. Be prepared, they don't always keep their posted hours..... several times have gone to place an order and discovered a hand-written sign posted on the door "sorry, closed at ..." which is VERY frustrating for the traveling customers who brave the crowds, finally find a place to park only to be greeted by a locked door! An iconic staple in beautiful downtown Weatherford that seems to be sliding backwards when it comes to customer service and convenience. Hopefully they can pull it back together and save...

Even though I gave 5 stars because their food is delightfully delicious and top notch in all of PC, the service could be better! I know not every employee is rude, but the last few times I have gone in to pick up an online order this one lady is rude beyond measure. She talks down to you and gets frustrated if you try to talk to her before she can comprehend what was said previously. She is beyond retirement age so I’m not sure if she is family or if she just likes to have a job, but she could benefit from a “good manners” course! I understand it gets busy but if you can’t handle the heat then get out of the frying pan! She does not need a customer facing position unless she learns how to be polite, she doesn’t know what kind of day someone is having, but rest assured if they encountered her, their day just got a whole lot worse. Even another employee had to mouth to me what I was asking (while I was enduring her rudeness) so that tells me she probably is just as hateful to her coworkers. I’m not seeking anything just want the management to be aware of her actions so maybe some changes can take place with...

I went at lunch, even though I had heard negative reviews from friends. I like to form my own opinion, however my friends might have been right. Although the food was good, there was 2 people in front of me and I still waited 10 plus minutes to even be waited on. No greeting, or "Sorry for the wait, we'll be with you in a moment." While I waited, I observed a waitress remove the number placard from a table with no food on it, one of the gentlemen had to come to the counter to ask for it back because he hadn't gotten his food yet. The waitress and cashier then began to discuss why their system was showing that his order was served. After more confusion, a young man came out of the kitchen, looked at the table, said something to the ladies, typed something in the computer, and apparently he fixed it. All around slow service, I do not recommend if you are on a timed lunch break. I was hoping to miss this type of wait by calling my order in ahead of time, but...
