Macarons are pretty good. We ordered a box of 6 and two coffees. The coffee is lavazza, which they are very proud of. I ordered regular iced coffee with milk and it tasted sour. When I asked for another, the owner came out and argued, first with my mom and then with me. He told me I was wrong, reiterating that they have lavazza coffee, lol.... he kept pressing the point even after I stopped talking to him and obviously appeared uncomfortable. Not a nice way to treat someone who just spent over $20 at your store and was polite when expressing concern. It doesn't matter how good your macarons are if you have bad customer service. Regardless, both of our coffees were terrible. Mine tasted dirty and cheap even after I got one without milk. Nathaniel Reed has great macarons too, and they are very pleasant. I thought twice about writing this review. I am fully expecting a snarky response from the owner. Fyi- I will not be engaging in any further communication because I don't want to be bullied...
Read moreThis place is awesome. I would like to extend a big shout out to Jim, the business owner. Jim is an awesome guy who is always willing to help anyone who walks in the door. More so, his staff is awesome. Half of my positive experience comes from the customer service received at Le Macaron.
Now let's talk desert people. First, Le Macron, is one of the only places in the area open past 9pm. Not by default, but this place has amazing treats. Any flavor Macron will knock your socks off. My personal favorites are Vanilla and Pistachio. Not in the cookie mood? No worries - their gelato is AWESOME. Call me a pistachio guy... but don't sleep on that gelato flavor. Last but not least... for those of you 21+ who are feeling a bit spicy... ask the staff about the imported wines. They sell by the glass and are very affordable and tasty!
I haven't tried the coffee yet, but If I was a betting man (which I'm not) I would bet on that contention not lasting very long. See you...
Read moreTruthfully, I expected more from a bakery that imports pastries from France. This post is purely based off personal preference as French pastries are known to be much less sweet than American pastries, and I am definitely addicted to sugary treats. I've been here about 2 or 3 times and it's not bad but it's also not my favorite. Their macarons aren't dry but they don't pack a whole lot of flavor. The coffee was okay, even though they had a ton of flavors to choose from, it seemed like it was lacking something (probably the excessive amount of sugar I'm used to, haha.) Service is always wonderful, the staff is eager to answer questions and they're very knowledgeable, it's also not usually packed so there aren't long wait times. The atmosphere is absolutely phenomenal though -- such a cute place. I'll probably visit again with friends for...
