The ice cream is great. Its creamer than most others. I like to compare it to how creamy soft serve can be but with all the benefits of hard ice cream which in this case are superb. Fresh local natural fruits lend their flavor to options like their wild Maine blueberry ice cream. They also serve frozen yogurt options which, while not as great as their ice cream, is still very good.
Now on to the staff. Usually they are hard working young women and men who handle the summer hordes that descend upon the region however it seems as though they sometimes forget things like that they are working in food service. For example, tonight the girl taking our order spent well over a minute with her hands deep in her copious hair. Now this is a warm space, on a warm day and these girls are moving around quite a bit, so the sweat factor is a definite issue. Add to that the potential other issues such as poor hygiene or any other itch inducing critters and we got creeped out. Luckily before we had to stop her, another young women grabbed the order and served us but she did NOT wash her hands after this extended hair exploration and returning to taking orders and serving food. Just be aware. Cleanliness is not necessarily...
Read moreWe stopped here after reading some amazing reviews and I must say that we weren't disappointed by the flavors. The ice cream was rich and flavorful and not very hard on the pocket as well. We loved the amazing flavors which were freshly made. Its a small place where you order at the window and they serve you at the next one.
I am not sure if they have seating as well. There are some outdoor benches though.
There was a queue when we reached here and rightly so. The blueberry pie seems to be the favorite among the locals and it tasted great. The portion was huge, we all ordered two scoops and realized it was too much to finish
The only reason I am giving a 4 star was because my wife had ordered chocolate peanut butter flavor and was served chocolate chip and when we asked the servers they were rude about it and blamed it on us.
Also, the servers did not have any idea if these ice creams had eggs in them.
Overall definitely a must-try for the creaminess and fresh flavors but keep a good eye on what you order or else you might be served something different and you will be held...

We’ve been coming to this ice cream shop for years during our trips to Maine, and sadly, this visit was a major letdown. We stood inside the shop—through a clearly marked “Enter” door—only to be completely ignored by the two young employees behind the counter. After waiting without acknowledgment, I had to knock on the window just to get someone’s attention.
When one of them finally came over, she told me I needed to go outside to place an order. If that’s the system now, here’s a tip: remove the “Enter” sign and lock the door. It’s confusing and frustrating for loyal customers who expect the same warm experience they’ve had in the past.
More importantly, please consider retraining your staff. Customer service matters. A simple greeting, a little courtesy, and clear signage would go a long way. We left disappointed—and that’s not how ice cream...
