Our family of 13 decided to try out this place for the first time on a Friday evening at the end of July. We had an EXCEPTIONAL experience all-around. They easily accommodated our group, without wait. We were immediately greeted by the delightful resident and seasonal magician named "Go Go", which was a huge, unexpected treat for the adults and kids alike. He came back while we were waiting for food and performed a magic trick that perplexed and amazed all. We requested he come back again after we ate, and he solidified his position of being a huge highlight of our day. The service was probably the best we have EVER experienced as a group our size. The drinks seemed to come out seconds after they were ordered, and the food was quick and fresh and DELICIOUS. Not to mention, very reasonably priced. We did not want for anything during our stay. Litchfield’s is a hidden gem tucked along that quirky stretch of Route 1 between Wells and Kennebunk — the kind of spot you might drive past a dozen times before finally pulling in, and then wonder why you didn’t stop sooner.

Read moreLocation: solid location. Good parking options. Easy to maneuver.
Cleanliness: the entrance from the ramp and stairs smelled heavily like cigarettes. Perhaps a separate location for smokers. Building was clean.
Atmosphere: mostly open, few walls. American decoration and memorial. Multiple TV options at the bar.
Food: French onion soup was decent (8 out of 10). A bit larger than typical franchises, but price reflects that. Chicken sandwich was a typical sandwich, only difference being customized horseradish sauce, which tastes above average.
Price: price to value ratio is on the pricey side. Chicken was more of an $8.99 item, soup should be about $5.99. The total bill was about $20 for both items.
Service: service was decent. Solid reliable service for bar and grill at this time.
Good place to eat that has many options for...
