Jeremiah's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Wendell

Thought Id be the only 1 star review on here but I see that's not the case so now I don't feel so bad. I really hate to leave this review, but...........

Been going to this location since literally day 1. It started off fantastic. You go in, order something, it looks just like what's up on the board and you leave happy. Staff was super friendly and courteous and seemed like they wanted to be there.

Went in last night for the first time in a while due to them being closed the last two times we tried to go. One was our fault, we didn't check Facebook to see the hours had changed again but the following week we showed up to a handwritten "Closed for maintenance" sign on the door.

But, I digress. Placed our orders and the young lady went to the back to get started and presented us with the saddest looking products Ive ever seen from this location. And to be blunt, this location has been going downhill for a while so saying these were bad is saying something. Not only were they melted blobs and ice cream flowing all down the cup, I didn't realize because I was so taken aback at how terrible they looked, they weren't even the right sizes we ordered and paid for.

Due to the utter disappointment of this experience and because we wanted quality Jeremiah's, we made the trek to Wake Forest. As we waited in line there, I watched everything they were making and all of it looked exactly like what is on their menu board. No melted blobs running down the sides, no flat layer of italian ice pressed into the top and melting down the sides and even did the two flavor scoop at the top.

This to me tells me that the employees need better training and supervision and perhaps showing some pride in what they are producing. This place used to be awesome. We looked forward to going at least once a week. For the last 6 months, every time we've been in, we've left with disappointment in a cup. Do...

Terrible experience! We waited 15 minutes outside and when we got to the front of the line, the worker said that we would have to go inside to order and the person in front of us would be the last to order at the window. So now; all the people behind us heard him say that and walked inside and, instead of being the next to get served, we would now have to sit through the line of people that had formed inside while we were inline outside as well as the people from outside that were behind us who were now in front of us. We literally just decided to leave and go somewhere else which upset our 5 year old son, literally crying at the front of the store because he was so disappointed… we won’t be back!
