Subway — Restaurant in Wendell

If I could put less than 1 star I would. I went last night (9/28) to get food from there and everything about my experience was pure awful. When I got there, there was already a couple of upset customers waiting to be helped. Apparently the lady in front of me caused a fuss due to the employees ignoring her being in line and served the drive-thru instead when she was already waiting. They tried to serve a lady who was behind me before me and the 2 ladies already waiting in line in front of me. When I was ordering I asked for my sub to be toasted. When the girl put it in the toaster she didn't set a timer and so my bread was overcooked, it was very hard and burnt in some places. She carelessly just threw toppings on my sandwich and did not listen when I said I wanted a little bit of lettuce. She just continued to pile it on until I finally had to say that is enough! I asked for only one line of Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sauce on my sandwich and she drenched it in sauce instead. She then went to help the guy who was 2 places behind me in line and was complaining to him about how much they had left to do and how she was trying to hurry up and get people out of there so they could get it done. I will not be returning to this restaurant due to such poor service by employees. It should also be noted that I previously worked for a different Subway and am well aware that this is not how things should be done as there is a standard that has to be met and it definitely was not met...

I sure wish there was more consistency at this location. We have limited food options in town and this could be a good option if they seemed to care. Tonight, we came to the drive-through at 9:22. The person on the speaker welcomed me and I asked for a minute to decide. She proceeded to tell me to hurry up because they're closing. I asked her what their hours were and she told me they close at 9:30, 9:45, whenever!?! I looked at their location on Google and it says that they are open until 11 PM. This is the first time that I have come to this location hours before they're supposed to close and they are closed. They also have a special for $6 for the particular sub that we ordered. We ordered two of them and the total was $16 and some change. I had to tell her that no, these are $6 subs. My total ended up being just under $13. I took them about five minutes to figure that out. There's no telling how many people aren't paying attention and pay whatever they're told to. The owner is not a very pleasant man, so calling to inform him of the inconsistencies is really a waste of time. The food is OK. They were out of most of the flavors of bread. I don't know, maybe this is because it's a franchise location that there's not as many consistent points as a corporate location. Until we have better options and we're craving a sub, this will have to do. If Jimmy John's opens out this way, you can put a nail in the coffin because...

I truly don’t write that many reviews. I walked in and the guy and I made eye contact and he walked straight to the back and stayed back there for 3-5 minutes before coming back out. Honestly the guy that was working was extremely rude and disrespectful. I had a coupon that I received in the mail and I asked him if I could use it (because there was a sign that said subs for coupon use) he said no we don’t except those. I then ordered my sub. I had to repeat everything two - three times and I asked for cucumbers and he put bell peppers on it. Everything I asked for seemed to be too much for this guy to do huffing and puffing with every request. He was very skimpy on the veggies but then when I asked for lite mayo he overloaded the sandwich. I then proceeded to pay with a gift card and I didn’t know where to swipe. After watching me struggle swiping the card in the wrong place 3-4 times and I asked 2-3 times where do I swipe and his answer is I don’t know don’t you? Then I continued to swipe two more times in the incorrect spot and he finally very rudely taped the machine very hard and said wipe it here. And wouldn’t even talk to me. I love subway but this interaction makes me never want to eat...
