Twisted Plants — Restaurant in West Allis

The food is made from beyond burger meat, which is one of the WORST things you can put in your body! It contains many ingredients you should stay away from. Plus, Bill Gates is attached to beyond meat products & I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. It is also not notated anywhere on their website or in their menu what meat is used, which I believe to be deceptive. This also makes me question what they use for their "cheese" and other products.

Also, this place is crazy expensive! We spent close to $140 for 3 people. We each ordered 2 "burgers", tator tots and a drink. That's ridiculous!

The decor is awesome & the people that work there are very kind, but this falls by the wayside when it comes to the food they serve. I'd love to find a vegan restaurant in Milwaukee that makes their own "meat & cheese", is not terribly pricey & the restaurant is transparent about the ingredients they use. That's important to my family & I would like to believe most people feel the same way. I'd love any comments on any places like this. But, for now, the search continues for a great vegan spot.

I really wanted to like this place as I had heard some great reviews of the food. Unfortunately I did not have the greatest experience there. First before entering I could see the windows were very dirty ( looked like someone tried to wash them with dirty water). Then when I got inside the floor were super sticky( if it wasn’t for the good reviews I would have left at this point). When ordering the guy at the counter acted as though we were a bother by being there. Very slow service and loud hardcore rap music which I do not mind but not what I want to hear at a restaurant. Food was decent but they were out of something’s and one of our orders was cold. They also gave us a wrong drink. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 11:45 so they were not busy by any means. I am going to try one of the other locations next time I’m in town. I’m hoping they just had a bad day or it was just this location. They did have some cool artwork. I really didn’t want to leave a bad review. I was so looking forward to coming here as I just moved to the area. I got the Chicago style dog which was amazing but our food come out all separately and spaced out. My friends food took 30 minute to come out and I had to go up to the counter and ask how much longer. The woman cooking the food couldn’t care less she just casually handed it to me while it was sitting there. Can you say even “sorry it took so long?!” Awful service! Also there was a giant black hair in the fries so we didn’t even eat them and the food was cold. I didn’t know it was possible to take 30 minutes to make and not even be warm. I’m not sure if this was an off day. I was pretty disappointed bc my friend is vegan as we were looking forward since she was visiting me out of town. I hope this place...
