Completely mediocre experience, nothing special. The atmosphere is nice, the hostesses are kind and there to help. The waiter rushed us through our meal and was constantly stopping and moving our plates around the table, kinda weird. Ordered the rib eye, and there was so much fat on it that I had a pile of fat on the corner of the plate, picture attached. When I mentioned something to the waiter, he checked with the chef who said that he butchered it himself and that a ribeye is an extremely fatty cut… but you’re supposed to trim off chunks of fat the size of a golf ball. But besides the fat, the meat was good. Mashed potatoes were fine, zip sauce was meh. We also had a Caesar salad and beet salad which were both on the same “it’s fine, I guess” kind of path. Ordered dirty martini on the rocks that didn’t come on the rocks and wasn’t dirty at all, had to add my own olive juice that I had to ask for. Presentation reminded me of what you would be served at a wedding. Just plain and “meh”. I don’t think we’ll be back. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t anything special.

We ate here often at the former establishment, and we think Aria did a fantastic job of updating the interior decor. It is so much more welcoming, attractive and comfortable with pleasant music playing at a perfect volume. Our server Nick enhanced our experience as he is so friendly and attentive. The Focaccia with dipping oil is absolutely delicious, as were the custom cocktails they offer. I really enjoyed the Paper Plane drink. The New York Strip steak was cooked perfectly and was large enough that I brought some home for another round the next day, and the potatoes are also very tasty. The sauce on the Pappardelle Bolognese was delicious, but the pasta was a bit underwhelming as it seemed that maybe the noodles were not stirred enough while cooking. There were clumps of pasta that were undercooked as a result, and my wife had to cut through it with a knife. We're giving them a pass on that since they have only been open for a month and may be working through some things. We love the ambiance and will definitely return.

First visit to this new restaurant which was formerly Spositas. Happy to say the restaurant was unrecognizable inside as it needed a complete makeover. We were seated promptly with our reservation. There were four of us dining and we all enjoyed both the food and the exemplary service. We were told the chef had worked at Bacco and a couple of other well known Italian restaurants. We were promptly served with delicious focaccia (still appreciate restaurants that do not charge for bread service). We started with minestrone and the meatball appetizer. Entrees included veal parm, bolognese and cacio e pepe. All of them were very good. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we arrived at 6:00 but pretty crowded by 7:00. Prices are fair by today's standard given the high quality of the food. I am sure they will do well there and highly recommend giving Aria a try.

All-around bizarre dining experience. We made reservations 2 weeks in advance, yet were seated at a window sill bench with no back support. The espresso martini had full ice cubes in it. When ordering appetizers, we asked if the kitchen would prefer we put our entire order in and they’ll pace it out, or if we could order one course at a time; we were assured ordering one course at a time was fine. While eating one of our appetizers and chatting, the waiter came and asked if we wanted a box for our other appetizer that we hadn’t dug into yet. Obviously we said no. About 30 minutes later, our waiter finally re-appeared and after efforts to get his attention so that we could order our next course, he came over to our table. He sounded surprised that we were ordering another course. Upon getting our salad and fries, I suggested we place our entree orders (to avoid having our waiter disappear on us again). Our third course came out with only two of the three items ordered. After 20 minutes of waiting for a medium-rare steak, we eventually flagged our waiter down again and asked if our steak was still coming. He went to check, then came back and said they were making us a new one because they “overcooked” the last one; pretty obvious he forgot to put the order for it in. We waited another 20 minutes and finally a steak was brought to us, except it was filet and we had ordered the ribeye (we noticed the same thing happen to a table near us earlier in the night). We let the gentleman know that wasn’t our order, so he took the steak back and assured us they would make what we ordered. Well, we waited another 20 minutes and still no medium-rare ribeye. By this point we were yawning, as it was closing time and we had been there for three hours. I began looking around to find our waiter to ask for the bill and a gentleman who wasn’t our waiter happened to notice and asked us if we were doing okay. When I told him we had been waiting about an hour for a steak and that we were too tired to keep waiting and would like to have our waiter bring the check, he went back to the kitchen and immediately came out with our steak. This was the most unappetizing looking and smelling steak we had both ever seen in a restaurant. It looked as if it were pan fried, charred in a few spots and gray everywhere else. Our waiter came over right after the steak was brought to us and we let him know we were going to get going. He apologized for the fiasco and brought our bill. After we paid, a manager came over to our table to ask how everything was and wondered what had happened. We explained, and she apologized a couple of times, then asked if there’s “anything we can do.” First of all, I don’t know what can be done after we already paid. Mind you, she knew we already paid. Second of all, good customer service would be taking the initiative by suggesting what could have been done, since we don’t work there and don’t even know what the options are to remedy the situation. It was a very awkwardly executed customer service attempt that made both me and my friend feel even more uncomfortable. All of this may have been more acceptable had the food been good. Out of the eight dishes we ordered, the spicy rigatoni was the only thing we could say was good. Everything else was mediocre, though we did like the sauce used for the shrimp (the shrimp itself was very crunchy though). Was excited to have more places added to the West Bloomfield restaurant scene, but unfortunately we won’t...

Aria is truly a gem.

Having visited three times, I can confidently say it’s a restaurant that delivers consistently exceptional experiences. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted by a warm and friendly staff who make you feel like a valued guest. The team’s professionalism and genuine hospitality are truly top-notch.

Chef Eglant has designed an excellent menu that showcases a perfect balance of creativity and classic flavors. Over my visits, I’ve tried the filet, the octopus, and the beef Wellington—each dish was perfectly executed. The filet was tender and flavorful, the octopus was delicate with just the right amount of char, and the beef Wellington was a masterpiece, with its buttery pastry encasing perfectly cooked beef.

The desserts were equally memorable. The panna cotta was silky smooth and beautifully balanced, while the tiramisu had just the right touch of richness without being overly heavy. It’s clear that equal care goes into every course.

The ambiance at Aria Ristorante is classy and elegant, making it perfect for a romantic evening or a special celebration. The service is consistently excellent, with every member of the team attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Aria Ristorante is the place to be. Chef Eglant and the entire team have created something...
