I posted this on Yelp, but I am just really disappointed how everything was handled and want people to be careful when they go there.
"I am not one for posting reviews, but I am really annoyed that this happened to me. I went there on a Tuesday, not knowing it was half off, but I also had a Groupon. After eating and getting ready to pay they tell me that the food will not be half off if I will be using the Groupon (which have never happened to me before, because I have used a Groupon there while they had specials prior to that day), we end up using the Groupon and paying the extra money using card. This entire time the service was terrible, the staff was rude, and not once did I get my water refilled. I asked for a new bill because I wanted to know what I will be paying exactly after the Groupon, and the guy who did it for me was being really rude and was acting like he did not want to be there and was taking it out on me; even though I had asked nicely and I was nice the entire time. We then get our check back and we leave a 15% tip, because that is what they deserved after they gypped us and charged us so much more than we should have paid, and how they were being super rude and had terrible service. We get an email a couple of days later from the bank telling us that we tipped them 47%, how did the 15% turn into the 47%???? I call to ask and the manager on the phone was telling me that I had to come in and all of that when I lived 30 minutes away, and I had already tried to go in but they were closed because they do not open until 4 p.m. Anyway, we end up going in and the manager is still being rude, leaves me hanging while he goes in the back, and the same worker that was there the day we went to eat walks up to me and hands me $5 cash... Did not even apologize for the inconvenience or anything... I wanted to see the receipt and take a picture of it, but the manager never came back. I also wanted my money back on my card but they hand me a FIVE DOLLAR bill and walk away...? Ninja was one of my favorite sushi places, but after they got new owners or whatever it was they went downhill and now they suck, 1/10 recommend. Oh and now they charge for soup and salad on top of you paying so much for the sushi? I am disgusted by the service and how...
Read moreI brought co-workers here for the first time to enjoy sushi after a long day. One Of them ordered two roles and only one came out. The waiter mentioned he forgot to put the roll on the order. After 30 minutes, the roll still had not come. We made mention again, and they finally provided the(Philly) roll. I made mention that since the wait was so long, the roll should be free- the waiter said "ok". When we received the bill, it was .80 cents taken off the roll. I complained. He said there's no way I'm taking the roll off the bill. We asked for a manager- he then stated he was the manager.
We negotiated money off the bill, and sat for a while. The waiter- Eugene became antsy when there was another group to come in. While my co workers and I sat to chat, he came to say, "if you are not ordering anything else I need you to leave so that I can seat the other group". This was highly inappropriate. We said we would leave in a few moments. The waiter then said, "I'm going to ask you to leave or I am calling the police". We were very taken a back by this threat.

When we walked in and sat down, our server did not greet us or say a word to us, she brought us menus and walked away which i find to be extremely rude. There was hair in my food and I was not informed when they charged me extra for something i didn't even ask for. The new owners are horrendous, rude, and disrespectful. They do not know how to handle customer service at all. I also ordered a california roll and i know wasabi should not be in it, but when i got it there was wasabi all over it and when i informed the asian lady she started an argument with me over it. How cheap can a restaurant be?? Also i asked for an extra plate and the owner also told me that i could not have one. This place is garbage and so are the employees, the only employee that's good is Eugene (he's very nice and respectful). Overall i would never ever eat here again and if i could give this restaurant a -10...
