Legacy Pancake House & Restaurant — Restaurant in West Carrollton

This was my first time visiting Legacy pancake House after switching from Holly’s. I had seen a lot of mixed reviews, so I had to find out for myself . I walked into the restaurant and was greeted and immediately sat. The place looked amazing. It was very clean and updated. The waitress was very friendly and stopped by our table frequently. I don’t think my cup of coffee ever got any more than halfway empty before it was filled. I ordered a simple breakfast of half order of biscuits and gravy, two eggs, and Home fries. I ordered my eggs over medium. They came out perfect. The biscuits and gravy was good. They were not phenomenal. I think too many people go into these greasy spoon restaurants expecting grandma‘s homemade biscuits and gravy, that’s been made in a small batch. That’s just not possible when you’re making that much gravy. The gravy was good. It had chunks of sausage in it and it was on the thick side (wich I like). The home fries were great. Family meal for 6 for late lunch 130pm, Sat. Seated right away. Staff cleaning tables, floors, wait staff was upset and snappy, talking to each other. There was a definate vibe that wasnt pleasant upon arrival. Some dispute about who was going to wait on us. Friendly to us, just not with each other openly around us. Gravy i heard was very good. Pancakes good. Rest was ok just not great. We waited so long for the check to come and no exit check in...had to go get our own to go containers and check. Front door greeter and another employee in that area did not seem busy while others appeared to be running around and very very busy. That situation could be spread out better. Lots of gossip talking loud enough for customers to hear. Not a pleasant dining experience and didnt make me want to come back. Our waitress was friendly and didnt get involved in all the talking and arguing going on. A lady bossing employee waitress around telling her what to do and pointing out things very aggressively towards the back room....which they seemed to try to shut off. It wasnt a good scene at all. We went to Legacy Pancake House this morning for breakfast and let me tell you if you have not been here yet you need to go! This is the only place around that serves steak and eggs for breakfast which is one of Justin‘s favorites! He got the New York strip steak, medium, rare with home fries, toast, and eggs over medium.  I got the cheese omelette with toast. The cheese omelette was the fluffiest most amazing omelette I’ve ever had! Not like these omelettes everywhere else that come out all flat. Justins steak and eggs were made perfectly as well! Please go support this small business and don’t listen to all the Karen’s out there. Service was great we got there before the church rush and after Brandi took our order our food was out in like 6-7 mins. Brandi was great as well and even got coffee to go 🙂 It was an all around great experience and we will definitely be going back! Mary Teegarden you guys have done an amazing job with the place.
