We ordered Vindalu (dark red curry in picture), Kaju/Cashew Curry, and Hyderabadi Pulaao. We were told that the pulaao will have mint flavor, there was NOT even a hint of mint in it. The red curry in picture, we said it should be medium but it was so freaking hot, we could not eat it. Also there was too much oil in it, and too much spice as you can see from color. Also, it was feeling little off (may be spoiled). The cashew curry was little bit OK which we ate because we had no option, otherwise we could have avoided it as it was also too much spice level of not hot. The biggest disappointment was Hyderabadi mint flavored pulaao. It only contained rice in dark green color. Not even vegetables just for the sake of it. We dared to taste it even though it was way too much filled with green color, and it was horrible taste and we felt like we should not even try it. The raita is yellowish cream and can not be classified as raita which goes with Hyderabad pulao. Means they dont even know how to make raita for pulao or biryani. I am sure they would give same cup for for all dishes which need raita to go with. Overall a biggest disappointment. I know its a long weekend and people will want to try it, but please, please, please, please, please, and even million please, DO NOT ORDER OR DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT to TRY this restaurant. All good reviews you see, are from their own close friends and they are very general in nature just to elevate the score. But please do not spoil your event or small get together by ordering food from here. Your guests will never want to come to you again, its going to be high level unforgettable spoiler. The nice place gone wasted. I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER AGAIN AND WILL MAKE SURE NONE OF MY FRIENDS ORDER FROM HERE. Please take a look at pictures, they speak more than these words. STAY AWAY...
Read moreIt’s good atmosphere to hangout with friends. Staff is friendly and service is fast. But when it comes to food our personal experience was not very good. As a group of six friends we had pav bhaji, malvani chicken and kaju masala with Tawa roti. For drink we had order mango lassi. Pav bhaji was ok. Kaju masala was ok too but malvani chicken was no where close to malvani cuisine. It was just spicy curry with red chili powder with no taste of real malvani spices. Mango lassi was not at all mango lassi like. It was deep orange drink which was not at all appealing as a mango lassi which we exchanged for masala Chas and it was good. Serving curry items in flat disposable plates was another irritating thing for me. How are they expect to eat curry in flat plates??? Another big thing which bothers me is the restaurant name sign. At first it was advertised as Eggholic and that name was there for couple of months so that’s what has been registered in my mind. Now they have made it as a Rangeen by Eggholic. But on their board Rangeen is in big font and Eggholic is in tiny font so many of our friends who were supposed to join us was not able find the place. As the GPS was showing the address correctly but all that they can see from Road was Rangeen. They were just taking rounds to find the place like couple of times by passing Rangeen sign on road. Hopefully restaurant owner’s will take notes of this and make right changes to to restaurant so that next visit we will get better...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Rangeen – An Indian Affair by Eggholic in West Chester, and it was an experience that truly stood out.
Ambiance & Service From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The modern decor with subtle Indian touches created a comfortable setting. The staff were attentive and eager to guide me through the menu, ensuring I felt welcomed and informed.
Culinary Delights The menu is a delightful fusion of traditional Indian flavors with a contemporary twist. I started with the Amdavadi Sandwich, a spicy, flavorful mix of mashed potatoes with an Indian twist, layered between crispy bread. The balance of spices and textures was impeccable.
For the main course, I opted for the Surti Gotalo, a dish that combines eggs with a rich blend of spices, creating a hearty and satisfying meal. The flavors transported me straight to the streets of India.
Final Thoughts Rangeen offers a unique dining experience that celebrates the richness of Indian street food while presenting it in a refined manner. Whether you’re a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, this place is...
