So I made a to-go order for pick up. I was staying at the motel next door and the receipt said it would be ready in 16 min so I went right away and was there in about 8 minutes. There was someone picking their order up and paying some 1 behind them and a man of color then another man then me waiting. So someone came out asked the 2nd man his name he gave it she went and looked and it was a like a total cluster f... By the register she came back with his bags skipped the man of color asked the man in front of me his name even after he gave it they acted confused back there. But after sometime she returned with his order.. The man of color had told me that was the 2nd time they had over looked him and had skipped asking his needs. I had stood there about 10 min or better at that point.. So now the I st person who was checking out came back in complaining they'd messed up their 2 go order and had not put 2 pieces of pie in their bag.. She went ahead of everyone and still everyone back there working was looking confused. So they give her the pies she leaves the worker calls up the man in front of me is checking him out and someone's checking out the guy in front of the man of color then they ask me my name.. The man of color became very ticked and looked at me and said screw this and storms out. They never even seemed to still notice him or that he had left upset. Although from the minute I walked in the store I could tell he was getting irate. Their was at least 4 woman working to get the to go orders out the wait time was unbelievable when every order that was in front of me had been called in.. So they are having a time finding my order even though at 1 point one lady had told me they was just waiting on my drinks.. And she moved on to the person behind me.. So my husband who was waiting on me had got worried and walked over from the motel.. We are standing there when the lady who'd 1st asked my name asked me what I ordered I told her and told her the other lady had told me they was only waiting on my drinks Which she ignored my last few words. She proceeded to ask me if I'd placed the order and I told her yes so then she asked me thru post mates and I said yes I think so and she said well why does your ticket say delivery and I said Idk... At this point she was trying to make me feel stupid as she reaches under the counter and grabs my bag of food... The bag was there in less time than it took me to walk there.. So it was under there in less than 8 min at the most, I'm talking it was right there the whole time by the register, And it was at least another 15 plus minutes while I was in line and then she proceeded to make our drinks.. She cashed us out we left now we get back to the motel in less than 3 min and our food was cold.. First thing I check is my phone and postmates had texted my phone saying our order was ready for pick up.. My receipt from them says pick up. They had not charged me a delivery fee or anything so where she got that it was suppose to be a delivery item I have no clue and I knew I had placed a pick up order anyways.. But to add insult to injury not only was the food cold. I had ordered chili and my husband ordered cold slaw they hadn't given us any crackers nor any plastic ware to eat WITH..... To top it off there wasn't any napkins or ketchup for his fries. I walked into the place happy as a lark, glad to be having a min away from the kids with my love bug, walked out feeling like I was some how drug thru mud and that I had some how hurt the irate man's feelings without saying a word to him... THIS VISIT RUINED MY ROMANTIC GET AWAY NIGHT... BOO ON THAT... I'd have only given it a 1 star but even though it was cold the food...
Read moreI stopped after work because the traffic heading northbound on the highway was unbearable, so I figured I would wait it out at Frisch’s while getting some work done on my laptop in a quiet restaurant. After all, there shouldn’t be that many people out with the COVID variant cases spiking, so imagine how discourages I was to see the parking lot full and the drive thru line full as well. I debated just leaving and facing the highway congestion instead of this chaos, but it be some quickly apparent that there was a well organized and face paced flow of people coming in and going out. I took a parking spot in the back, went inside expecting to wait to be seated, but I barely got to the host area when a manager greeted me and asked if I wanted a quiet area to sit and work? He saw my laptop bag. I smiled and nodded and was led to a far back table, seated and had my order taken by their manager. He was my waiter for the entire meal, as well as the cook and the cashier and the drive thru attendant. I didn’t get much work done but I did get to watch a small team of individuals manage to execute flawless big team style service. I can’t thank that Frisch’s and its manager and team enough for reminding me what life used to be like before this pandemic, if only for a brief moment. Thanks Jake and the West Chester Frisch’s dinner team. Don’t ever forget that people are watching and we do appreciate your hard...
Read moreThings you CAN’T control: how busy you get on a Sunday. Call-off’s leaving you understaffed (3 servers). Struggling to keep the breakfast bar stocked due to high demand. What you CAN control: you can seat people when they walk in when you clearly have empty, clean booths available instead of having them stand in line for 10 minutes. You can make sure you have clean plates available for those who paid 12.99 for the breakfast/salad bar. When you run OUT of plates (understandable, you’re busy and all), you put clean plates on the bar for those standing there patiently waiting, not handing 8 plates to a table with 2 adults and a baby or ignoring the woman who’s been standing at the bar for 10 minutes. You can apologize to those who are clearly upset about the situation, but aren’t causing a scene because they know that won’t make anything better. You can also pay enough attention to those who maybe didn’t even get their money’s worth because there either weren’t plates or food to choose from and offer SOMETHING to compensate for the experience. Cincinnati-Dayton Road Frisch’s, you definitely failed today. Zero customer service, no sense of urgency, and a general lack of awareness of your customers made for one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Big Boy. I used to work at one, so I’m pretty understanding of what’s in your power and what isn’t. We shouldn’t have paid the full bill, but we did....
