Went to this particular restaurant because it was close by and I had a not the great experience. Upon entering I could see they were busy as all waffle house are and I expected a bit of a wait. But to my surprise after standing in line for about 5 min or more I noticed a waiter by the name of Nina happily greeting a few people that were behind me that had JUST walked in even though I had calmly been standing there at least 5 min prior to them walking in! Now I would love to think maybe she was blind and was only greeting people who wore a bell around there necks but unfortunately I didn't observe anyone with any bells or loud apparatuses as a part of there attire! So I will have to only assume she possibly just doesn't care for or attend to African American patrons. I felt totally appalled at this behavior and that a paying customer would be treated this way! Miss waiter it would behoove you to attend to ALL paying customer regardless of serial orientation, gender, marital status or race. Which the latter is what I believe to be the reason I was so obviously blatantly and rudely looked over though you clearly saw me standing there! The funny part is you know you were so wrong that you couldn't look me in the face the whole time!😉 Thank God the other lady was willing to take my order. Waffle house should be ashamed, embarrassed and indignant of having such a low grade employee working for them! At least the food was good all praises to the hard...
Read moreThe food tasted fine, but there were a lot of errors and reminding we had to do to get what we ordered either correct or to be remembered.
It was freezing at the table we sat at even if no one was coming in or out but obviously was almost unbearable when people did enter and exit. It was 40 degrees out and I dined in but had my in coat on, zipped up. When I finished eating I had my coat zipped with everything under my eyes inside it to keep warm. The person I was with mentioned how cold it was as we were first sitting down.
My eggs were cooked correctly and fixed pretty quickly, it wasn't a big deal. My friends order included bacon he requested to be crispy and he also wanted to add an extra bacon that never came, until we mentioned it as we were paying the bill. The bacon he did get was not crispy. He ordered wheat toast and received white. A to-go cup that was requested was forgotten until paying the bill and we reminded the waitress. Again, it was minor errors. The waitress was friendly.
The atmosphere was what you can expect at 1:30 am; loud; full of young adults having fun, a little intoxicated. As I mentioned it was extremely cold sitting in the middle of the restaurant, somewhat...
Read moreUnfortunately, my last experience at Waffle House (Cincinnati Dayton Rd, Cincinnati OH) was impressively bad. I've rarely had an experience like this. After our server took our order, she proceeded to take a break, I was left without creamer for coffee and our food sat on the cut line waiting for her return. Another server brought out our food but I was missing a waffle with my All Star breakfast. Upon return from break our original server made us aware the waffle had been burned and would need to be remade. After more waiting I finally received creamer for my coffee and still no waffle. As we were packing up my wife and son's leftovers I made the server aware I was still missing a waffle. She was willing to pack one to go. Of course I received a nearly burned waffle. When attempting to pay with a gift card, none of the three employees who attempted to assist me with using the gift card were successful, leaving me to pay for the meal on my credit card. Overall, very poor service. If you are in the area, look for a different Waffle...
