I'm picky about restaurants and rarely feel inspired to leave a review, but this place is a solid A+ for a classic Greek Gyro place and I'd recommend it to anyone that misses that delicious college campus gyro. It's very affordable, the gyro meat is tender and cut relatively thick with an ample amount put on the gyro, the pitas are soft, the tzatziki sauce is creamy and tangy, and the toppings are well prepped(no tomato heels, lettuce stems, etc). It's a place you'd expect to find as long standing institution on a college campus, not all the way up in the burbs. To that end it's standard, but the excellence is in terms of how consistent it has been every time I eat there or have it delivered, usually for lunch.
Also I'd be remiss to not mention their shwarma. It's a knock your socks off amped up flavor version. Lots of garlic sauce, chicken is well manicured, cooked well, and lots of it, and they put pickle slices on it in addition to your standard toppings which I personally love. It reminds me of Bucharest grill up in detroit in how over the top it tastes. Yum.
Fries are nothing to write home about, but good nonetheless. The gyro fries are delicious but better if you get them fresh at the restaurant(they get soggy from the dressing when delivered).
I wanted to thank the restaurant owners/managers for being thoughtful when packing up food too. Regular fries don't get put in styrofome containers to become a steamed soggy soft unappetizing experience like many places. Brown paper bags keep them warm but still crispy. The gyros are double wrapped separately in foil/wax paper and always arrive very warm and not messy....
Read moreFood was okay not the best but hot the place was an average strip mall type shape no fountain pop or ice I guess the pop was there but no one can drink fountain pop without ice ended up having to get a can no biggie the only reason for this whole review isn’t to hurt the company because in all it was average but they ended up having a random guy bring in a delivery to what only you could consider is product but left the entry door to the front of the store wide open and you’d think he’d close it being 31 degrees out when he enter and exited but nope the whole delivery continued to the point I left my food and trash on the table and walked out because of this 15 mins of the cold wind whipping thru ruined the experience and the food. Tell your delivery driver aka random guy in a van to shut the dang door upon entry especially when you have dine in. Would’ve done no stars but i know small business is hard and know how it could hurt and keep food out people mouths and bills not paid. So please keep your dine in customers in mind. Food was okay...
Read moreI was ordering a pizza from the place next door for my kids when I thought I'd give this place a try. I easily ordered online and put in the comments that I was waiting in the parking lot, just so he would know I was there. Now I was waiting on pizza and Tikka Grill. When my order was ready, a kind gentleman from the restaurant walked outside, right up to my car and handed my order to me. I couldn't believe how thoughtful he was to do that. Now, the food... Oh my gawd y'all, it was soooo good. I ordered both a chicken gyro and a beef kabob on rice. I immediately regretted not ordering the lamb gyro instead of the chicken because it seemed very thin and somewhat dry, but somehow they managed to fill it with flavor so it was tolerable. Just not my favorite. No, my favorite was the beef kabob on rice. It was so tender and juicy and the sauce they served it with was amazing. And the pita bread was soft and warm. I will certainly return for the kabobs and...
