Chicago French Press at Rebecca Port Center Café — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I was excited to try this place since I like the one in the Roosevelt collection and I love to support local small business since my family also owns a small business. But the owner clearly needs better management at this location and better training. I bought an ice chai tea latte and was given a cup of 90% chai concentrate and 10% milk. The drink was dark. And if you normally drink chai lattes you know it has a brown coffee color. I asked for more milk and the employee had me chug a bit before adding more milk. Even then the drink tasted straight like concentrate. Also seeing the review about food poisoning doesn’t surprise me. If you want to pay $20 for disgusting food and coffee then this is your spot. I hope the owner looks at her reviews and changes the management and training. Also as a UIC student the reputation for this place is not good. Their lavender matcha (I get mine hot) is one of my favorite marchas in the city. It is lightly sweet and delicious. I come back a few times a week when I need a little caffeine.
