UIC ARC Starbucks — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Hello Managers, I am not for certain of what was really going on Monday 10/2/2023. There were 8 employees working on this day. I waited a whole 1/2 hour for a Caramel Ribbon Crunch that I didn't even receive because my name was never called or I was not made aware that my order was even ready and at the counter. I had my receipt and patiently waiting. Once I approached the counter; I asked the staff did you all forget about my order? I've been here since 12:23 pm and it is now 12:45 pm and I'm still waiting😥. A staff member; a young lady responded; we have a backorder of Frappe's to make. Your order was PROBABLY sat on the counter maybe someone took it; people take people order all the time. 😮 I was late for a class. Several customers who ordered after me or who did not even place an order were walking up and taking other customers drinks which were paid for. As many STARBUCKS I HAVE VISITED; I never ever experienced such thing. Better customers service and paying attention to detail is needed at this location. I am so surprised UIC...

Went there yesterday before class because there were only a few people in line. I figured the wait would be short enough. Apparently not because they were very busy filling mobile orders. After a lengthy wait I had to go to avoid being late for class. I left without getting my drink. After class I returned to get another drink. I already wrote the first one off, so to speak, and was just going to pay for another. As soon as a I walked up to the counter the employee greeted me: "What do you want because we're getting ready to close". To which I reply the door was open so I didn't know they were closed. She then rolls her eyes and again asks "well what do you want though?". This is how you treat a customer? So I said nevermind, I don't want to inconvenience you and walked out. I go here all the time but lately the service has been horrible. I'll be bringing my coffee from home now instead of stopping at...

No idea why this place has great reviews, the customer service here is trash and I had several wrong orders given to me from here. This is supposed to be the "better" coffee spot on campus, and it's most definitely not. Overhyped like most starbucks but with worse service. More than four times I've seen employees who just talk to their friends at the register and hold up the already long line. It's always packed and loud in there due to dozens of students and the employees barely speak up enough to make sure they get your order right. It obviously has "better" coffee than the dunkin on campus, but I've had much better service, nicer interactions with employees, and more correct orders given to me at Dunkin...
