If you want a good, Chicago Street Food fix, this place which calls itself the Original Maxwell Street might be for you. I'm a Maxwell Street Polish Sausage fan, so I'm willing to go to this gritty, Westside spot. The fries are good, sometimes soggy, crispy or greasy and greatly compliment everything (except maybe the burritos and tacos on the menu). Service is quick and friendly. The area is not for everyone. If you are waiting in line, you can expect some kind of hustle. I don't like being panhandled at all anytime, especially when waiting to order food. Sometimes it's one person, maybe sitting on the ground looking up at you; or it could be a shirtless dude asking to buy him a pop, or a barefoot guy drinking E&J asking for a dollar. Read moreEvery time I go, you always have people on the outside Begging you for change. They don't always have fish, that fish is really good. I recommend it highly so I went there tonight and I always My policy was Mustang on it. I hate onions and I hate peppers but I highly recommend that the police are mean to fit the fish Sandwich maybe just they just don't be working good but anyway it's a good place to go but you get tired of people on outside. They need security out there to keep them people away. When you place in your order, that's not good business. Anyway, that's just my...

The taste of the polish has lost a lot of unique flavor. There was no snap or break at the polish casing as you bite in. The texture seemed one similar to boiled meat and then placed on a flat grill. The onions were not of a nice caramelized presentation. It's more like onions that stayed underneath all the fresh grilled onions one batch after the other.. that's just my opinion, someone else might find this place off the chain and good, but for me none of the food was on point..... sad because it was very...
