Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in West Chicago

Update now (since been a year): Stopped by and saw the drive thru had 1 car at the window and 3 in the parking lot....decided to go inside to order. There wasn't anyone at the counter to order and 3 tables already eating. I ordered the 16piece family meal (with 3 LG sides) was told the wait was 25-35min!!!!! The time around 1740! Are you to tell me its dinner time and its still gonna take over 30min for FAST FOOD at an establishment with only 4 customers at the time....which have already been served?!?!?! What the hell!!! You go to a chicken FAST FOOD place told you need to wait 25-35 minutes!!!!!!....this place needs to be shut down at this point. Maybe I'll check back again in another year!!!!!

Updated review from over 9 months ago: Today, I went through the drive through and ordered the 16piece chicken meal (came with 8 biscuits and 3 large sides). I ordered the chicken all to be spicy. For my 3 sides, I ordered 1 Mac n cheese, 1 coleslaw, and another Mac n cheese.....which equals 3 sides (per the 16 piece family meal). They were upcharging me extra for the additional Mac n cheese stating it was an 'upcharge'.....upcharge from what?!?!?!....the family meal came with 3 large sides!!! I should have been able to order 3 Mac n cheeses!!!!......it's 3 large sides!!! And their stance on it was it was an "up-charge". Stay away from this place!!!!.....they will do anything to get more money out of you!!!!! Stay away!!!!!!

This location closes at 2200 and it's 2030, and the drive thru is yelling at me saying they are closed and they don't have any chicken...but if I want a coke, they can do...

Let me start by saying that I grew up on Popeyes chicken...... so on my first visit to this location I was extremely disappointed when I showed them my corporate coupon I received in my email just they said we only honor their local mailing coupons! I asked to speak to a manager because that sounded crazy. The manager told me that they were under new management and apologized and said they would except it this time.( A POPEYES CORPORATE COUPON!) I thanked the manager and left with my food. Within the first bit I knew something was wrong with this batch of chicken. Like I said..... I know Popeyes and they usually have the best spicy chicken ever with flavor and juicy ness right down to the bone. Not this time..... it was flavorless! I called and spoke to the manager again and told them that it seemed the chicken I got was not marinated but just breaded and fried as if they had run out of usual chicken. That must have been the case because they made it right (which is why 2 stars and not 1) by writing my info down to receive my complete order for free next time. So I when back a couple months later and dined in..... the food was back to normal and delicious! Unfortunately the place seemed to be run by teen amateurs! No napkins stocked, broken water at the soda fountain and to top it off when I asked for these things I was made to feel that I was inconveniencing them. Corporate should really step in at...

I come to this place to have lunch with my guy while I was purchasing a car. We order 2 six piece honey bbg. When we took our seats with the food I opened the six piece and notice I saw more fried breading then actual BBQ sauce. I took it to the lady and asked if not BBQ sauce can be placed because I felt it wasn't enough and did not look like the chicken wing that is on the poster which was covered in BBQ sauce. This lady which she is some kind of manager I guess but was not professional because she did not engage the conversation instead she proceed to do what she was doing which did not sit right with me and also the fact she wanted to charge a dollar for 1 bbq. All I wanted was the sauce that is suppose to be there not extra because I told her it did not look like what is in the poster I opened it to show her and a wing feel out on the floor by accident. So instead of this so called manager resolving the situation she then proceeded to engage the conversation like I was not important. Kept arguing with me telling me it does look like what is on the poster which it did not. Like I said there was way more breading then sauce. So I ended the argument by asking for a refund and she did refund me in full for both meals while my partner over there finishing his meal that I'm getting refunded for .. Thank you So stingy on sauce plus over charging...
