Kings Donuts & Bagels — Restaurant in West Covina

Very standard donut shop that also sells boba drinks (who doesn't?). I got here around 11AM on a Sunday and the donuts I bought were beginning to get long in the tooth; not yet brick stale but definitely been out a while. It's probably my fault for going so late - I imagine 7-8AM are the prime hours for freshness.

Got a dozen and damn near cleaned the place out. Yes, you read that correctly. If you're a donuts fan you'll know that means this shop only bakes enough to satisfy the bare minimum. That's not cool, and a half empty display case pretty much tells the story. Still, $7.50 for a mixed dozen and I may forgive anything.

The plaza where this shop is located isn't a place I'd want to frequent often. Shop owner was nice. You're here because it's cheap and it might be a deal. Yelp (at the time of this review) overrated this place and you may not return....

My first time coming here was back in Aug. 2019, (wow lol) first tried their #16 Turkey Sandwich and boy was I surprised, the bread very soft inside outside nice crunch, they put swiss cheese, cucumbers, red onions, pickles and for those who like heat, yes jalapenos...yummy! Wow it is soo delicious! Not stingy with any of the meat or vegetables.. I mean, what doughnuts..lol Enjoy! BTW my co-workers say their breakfast sandwiches are also very good aand...

Their croissants are so delicious my favorite, with black forest ham. They also have their six dollar and something meals. Need an extra boost for the day, they will make you some healthy veggie/fruit juices! Their service is fast before you know it they’ll have your order ready, good for lunch meals.
