Victor's Villa — Restaurant in West Covina

SO DiSSAPOINTED... I just left Victor Villas. I decided to take my 2 teenage kids out today somewhere special instead of the typical fast food Mc Donald's, Jack's, etc. We were all undecisive about where to go and as I'm driving I tell my kids let's go to Victor Villas it is a good place with many choices and is always good food, no matter what you choose... so I arrive let I remind you I haven't been there in about 5 years... I was a bit disappointed as I arrived that there are no more table menus. Waitress don't come to the table. Ok no big deal I guess but kinda is... well we look at the menu. I order a fish sandwich combo, my son orders a bacon cheeseburger combo and my daughter orders a chili dog. Food is quickly served and I was shocked to see that I had a breakfast sandwich. As I was about to walk to the counter I look again and it is my fish sandwich. It was a english muffin bread with a fish patty and cheese a bit of tartar. Cheese was also not melted... It was the most miniature and so lazy put together I ever seen, no Lettuce no tomato... the picture showed a big nice fish sandwich with Lettuce and tomato... not close to what I received. Also I didnt return to the steak fries I remembered. They are now skinny cold fries. My son got a burger which tasted ok to him, but fell apart as he ate it. My daughter's Chilli dog was also ok but very cold and cheese not melted. Let me also say there was no one else there, so they were not busy. Place was empty. They were definitely not under staffed, more overstaffed and plenty of time to put together better food. Horrible horrible not like I remember and they have hit my band list. I was sincerely better off going to McDonalds at the point. There fish filet is definitely more decent than the fish sandwich I received. Fish sandwich was disgusting and fries are not the same... if you see there photos, fries change. I believe they just put together whatever is available. I wish I could get a refund. Please let this...

I hardly write reviews, in this case I will. Victor's Villa used to have good food, pleasant people, and a chicken salad bowl that was amazing, family from another state used to love it and every time they would come to Cali, they would go there just for the salad bowl. My son-in-law was here for a few days and he was looking forward to the chicken salad bowl, so we went to Victor's this past Saturday, what a disappointment, they don't serve it anymore 😑. I asked my son-in-law if he wanted to go somewhere else but he said no, so we ordered, I got a pancake breakfast with sausage, pancakes were hard to cut, sausage looked like this was the 3rd time warming it, I couldn't even bring it home for my dog. He got a chicken combo w onion rings, the sandwich was very nasty made with some kind of ugly bread, the chicken was ok ( just ok,) onion rings were so nasty we couldn't eat them, they were not crunchy, but they were soggy and old I asked why was it removed from the menu and the employee just looked at me confused lol, I told her we come here just for the salad, I guess we won't be coming anymore. They left our food on the counter bc it wasn't complete yet, so it was soooooo coooold. Never going back. They need to hire older people like they had before, they were nice and very helpful. These young people you have now, don't have manners, customer service skills, they're rude, just change your employees for older men. A better place to go that is similar to Victor's and cheaper, is Chris's on Amar, everything is so good there, I've been going...

I've never once written a review complaining about an establishment but I had to because I am still appalled. The food quality is not what it used to be it could be better. However, the real issue is the racist remarks made by one of the staff members working there. I had gone with a friend to order and we ordered a hamburger family pack and 3 salads. This lady at the drive thru, first of all, couldn't even hear us after we kept repeating our order multiple times so she made us pull up to the window. She then asked us what we wanted. We ordered and waited and one of the staff members gave us our burgers. We asked if that's all but I don't think she was able to hear us so we assumed it was. We were almost going to pull out of the drive thru when the lady that took our order called out about our salads. We went back because we had both totally forgotten them. She then asked us if the staff member that gave us the burgers told us that was all, very rudely too. We explained that we had forgotten and that we asked her if that was it but that she mightve not heard through all the noise. The rude lady that took our order rolled her eyes and she said "yeah well, you know how it is working with these kind of people". That staff member plus maybe about 2 others were both Hispanic and didn't seem to know much English. I was appalled that she felt it was ok to tell a customer that. Just makes me wonder how she treats the staff when no one is looking! I gave Victor's Villa another chance but not again after witnessing the...
