It's been some time since I have had the pleasure of dining in West Des Moines, and when it comes to Mexican food, I've always had a love for it. And Fiesta Mexican Rest is a grand place to enjoy some good grub with a good atmosphere and good staff who are more then happy to help however they can! First, impressions of the restaurant itself. It's clean and feels like home in a sense that you walk into a room of family faces, wonderful smelling food, and normally there is sports on the tv and nice music on in the background. The staff are quick to get your order and quicker to deliver, and don't miss a beat when it comes to giving you quality service. But then there is the food, the most important part am I right? The food was a knockout. Aside from the hot and fresh chips and the yummy salsa that you get at the beginning, you can also get any type of drink available. I got mellow yellow because I need to drive home tonight but I have heard great things about the margaritas. Now I ordered the combo, which you may build your own, and I got the Taco Supreme with chicken, Carne Asade Burrito, and the Beef Enchilada with fries and Spanish rice. Every bit of eating this was amazing! The flavors of the meat and sauce that was paired with it all was sublime and worth the wait and the price. To be fair, $25 dollars for the spread may sound like alot...until you walk out with a full belly and a good feeling in your chest that you only get from Mexican food. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to chow on some good food and enjoy a calm yet happy atmosphere. This is a good place for family, friends, a date or just going out by yourself. Don't let this restaurant pass you by, because trust me, you'll hate yourself for missing out on the food! So what are you waiting for?! Go eat!

This place just opened up near me and is so close that i decided to stop in on whim. I didn't know what to expect and sat down at the bar. They have a very large bar and it is well decked out. Took me a little bit to review the menu and with a little help from the bartender, I started off with the Cantarito and the Choripollo for dinner. The Cantarito is served in a large clay cup. It reminded me of a Dirty Mule with a little extra citrus. It has oranges, grapefruit and maraschino cherries in it and the rim has been treated to be very spicy. It was pretty good, a little too much citrus for liking, but it was stronger than it tasted :) The Choripollo is chicken and chorizo in a queso sauce, the meats and flavors worked well together and would order it again. My only complaint was there wasn't any dressing for the salad. I just asked the bartender for a lime to top it off. If you are looking for a new TexMex place, this place is definetly worth checking out.

Our recent visit to Fiesta Mexican Restaurant was truly outstanding and made us become BIG FANS! We went for an impromptu birthday party after my niece's softball game, and they were incredibly quick and efficient at accommodating our large group (12+ people).

The menu is massive, which is perfect for satisfying every specific (or picky) eater in a group. We started with the phenomenal chips, salsa, and cheese dip. Then they brought the guacamole dip out, and my jaw dropped to the floor. They gave us so much guac, it was a dream come true. That was only the beginning of our meal, so I knew we were in good hands. Truly, everything we ordered from the huge selection was delicious and shareable.

Beyond the great food, the restaurant itself is impressive. The building is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of TVs to catch any sports games. The bathrooms were also very clean. They have a large amount of staff workers, so you'll never have an empty glass of water (Thank you BTW!).

Overall, they offer a great combination of delicious food, a perfect atmosphere for any group, and fantastic service. Go enjoy their food, and you definitely won't be disappointed—you might even become a regular! Don't forget to try their cocktails. Their portions sizes are ahh-mazing, and the flavors and presentations of their drinks makes it feel even more...

My wife and I are from Texas. We were in the area on business so I checked out the reviews and stopped in. The wait staff was very friendly, inviting and prompt. The chips and salsa were excellent. The tea was fresh brewed and refreshing. We ordered steak fajitas. The food was presented well, the refried beans were excellent, tortillas appeared to be homemade (but did not eat) . However much like all other fajitas I have ordered in the Midwest it’s not really authentic Tex-Mex fajitas. The quality of the food was good and somewhat tasty but it is presented as “stir fry” meaning little slivers maybe 2 to 3 ounces of meat and an enormous amount of onions and bell peppers. You could add sesame seeds and soy sauce and definitely have Panda Express. Authentic Tex-Mex fajitas are made with skirt steak cooked over a flame (medium) sliced, on a plate, not mixed up with a pound of onions. The veggies are on the side. I gave it a 4 because of the excellent service, friendly staff, cleanliness and prompt service…… just with the fajitas...
