This is honestly one of my top 3 restaurants to eat at. I’d suggest getting pork (ask them to fry it), ofc the chicken wings, crispy noodles (forgot what it’s called), etc. Their bubble tea is also great. I’d also suggest getting the durian or taro flavor after you’ve finished your meal, it’s like a dessert.
PS, the negative reviews are very vague and don’t give an overall insight of this place at all. They are either one of those privileged or Scrooge-like idiots who demand a refund after they’ve already used the product for their own benefit. Like the fat mom who goes to a nail salon and demands for a refund after her nails were done.
Do not listen to those old fatasses and spoiled idiots demanding “oh my god, they served water to those folks but not us! One star!” This place is very busy and my family and I always have empathy for these people because we know how hard serving a full house would be. If the place is packed, we should all take into consideration that there are other people who want to be served too and the waiters are trying their best to accompany everyone. Stop making it about yourselves. Lots of the waiters are speed walking which is a good sign there is work ethic in the kitchen. (Who the hell said there were cockroaches, this place is literally the cleanest after visiting hundreds of times, quit defaming businesses with your lies. Sickening)
Anyways, this place is always packed typically everyday, ESPECIALLY on weekends where there is a line for a table. This means there is more positive than negative. :)
Don’t hesitate to give this...
Read moreI just walked out of the restaurant an hour ago, as you may experience in this type of noodle restaurant. They don't have good services. Once they put your drinks on the table and serve you your dishes, they just walk away with out returning unless you call them. After I paid (including tips which I think what they deserved) and ready to go, the old lady (owner) called and asked for more tips that I find it's rude and offensive, but I gave one more buck anyway since she's shameless and dare to ask. Instead of being polite like " can you give then some more tips?," she goes " give more, more." I was like " what did you do what made you think you deserved more. This is not a fine restaurant." I've been here for many times, the quality of food is getting worse. Although the price is not incresing, the portion had been decreased awhile back ago. The bowl of noodle soup fill up with noodles and broth with a couple pieces of beef slices (I had no. 19 on the menu which I always have.) the broth loaded with MSG; I don't recommend if you have diabetes. I'm always thirty and nausea after eating Vietnamese Pho because of MSG. I'm very sensitive to the MSG. If you order rice dishes, they mix your rice with broken ones which I think broken rice make your dish indecent (I had grilled pork over rice other time and after I found out it's not pure whole grain; I would never have it again!!) After this rudeness of the owner, quality of food, and services, I don't think I will ever return to Pho Boston in...
Read more(Summery at the end if you do not wish to read the entire review) This restaurant was my childhood but now it is not like what it used to be. The food is surely good but the service poor. The last experience eating here with my family made us decide to give up on this restaurant. The waiters (besides one decent one) are not familiar with the menu even though I've seen them work there for a while and what contributes to that is most of them are not fluent in English or Vietnamese (My brother was told before "sorry I don't speak Chinese" when ording a Vietnamese dish from the menu of their Vietnamese restaurant"). I understand they might not love their jobs but they really let it show in their laziness to take orders (and it was in the middle of the week where there's less customers). Our order was not complex yet they managed to serve the wrong food. The food is good, I can't deny that, but it is over priced and for a lower price you can find other authentic Vietnamese restaurants in west Hartford that is even better. Also, last thing that bothered me, and maybe not for others, is that they have over 120 items on their menu! It is overwhelming, unorganized and you have to spend a lot of time going through them to decide on what you want.
To sum it up: poor slow service, good food but over priced and a menu that is too much to handle. Remember to wear light because it's...
