Golden Dragon — Restaurant in West Haven

We’ve been searching for a new local spot and we’re so happy we found Golden Dragon!

I scoured reviews because I did not want anything sketchy. Can’t say much for outside, besides how busy it is. Everything was delicious! We got Beef lo mein, General Tso’s combo, Beef & Broccoli combo and crab rangoons. (Close up of the chicken, it’s more chicken than breading!) It was phenomenal, fresh and good portions. We will definitely eat here again and can’t wait to try different things! My husband was very impressed as well, and he can be picky with Chinese food.

I took a star from service because they don’t answer the phone. Best to walk in and order, read that from another review, glad I did because I may have given up after calling a few times. Very friendly guy at the counter though! I’m also in love with all the beautiful and happy plants they have throughout their waiting...

So, this review is purely based on customer service. I can't even speak on the food because we couldnt even place the order. First, they don't deliver, which is fine. I was taking that as a possible good sign. After securing a way to pick it up, I called back, asked if I can order and pay ahead. Negative. They won't take payments over the phone. Okay, fine. Someone can pay at pickup. I begin my order. The man cuts me off after three items and asks if that's it. I said no, it's a bigger order. I need to feed 5 people. They will not take big orders over the phone. I would have to come down there, order in person, and wait for them to make it, but they won't cook anything before I pay... If you want food based on customer service go ahead obviously nobody you want your food to fast good I tried the rangoons was disappointed by them not having much flavor nor did the sauce that came wot it so I was hoping my chicken fried rice n wings would b better thumbs down 👎 they need flavor there is barely any spices or flavor idk who’s giving them so many high star reviews prolly them and the family but this is unacceptable please use more spices n flavoring my rice n chicken n any food ordered shouldn’t b tasteless barely having flavor smh disappointed all around besides there...
