Poke House West Lake — Restaurant in West Lake Hills

Regular customer-ordered through 3rd party- about 50% of the time I receive an order that is well under what the standard for Pokehouse is. This half sal/ half rice bowl was 3/4 rice, Missing vegetables, and just not what I wanted. I called the restaurant inquiring about whether they were missing vegetables- on their end there was an apology yet no attempt at rectifying the problem or any kind of solution. I wasn’t looking for a new meal, but I was looking for something more than a sorry and awkward silence on the other end of the phone. Now I’m sorry for having to leave a bad review because, unfortunately this has happened before. It’s a sad day wanting a great poke bowl and receiving something other than what I had ordered. Poke done right I'm a fan of poke bowls but find them a bit pricey at times given what you get. Not so here, poke bowls are generous at a more reasonable price. For instance, you can get a poke bowl for about the same price of a roll at a comparable restaurant. True the roll does require additional work but the bowl is easily twice the food with more variety of ingredients, as you like. I'm a fan of salmon and find the quality to be pretty good here. I like my Salmon fatty and most days that's what you'll get. The Chipotle build your own model gives you the ability to make it as you like. Great little poke place! In true poke style, it's build-your-own, so belly up to the counter and start building! The menu is hung on the wall and leads you through the steps of building your meal, starting with the base, which can be rice, salad, a mix of the two or a wrap. Next choose your fish, tuna or salmon, with choice of plain or some pre-seasoned options. Next is the dressing, and they have several to choose from. Sorry that it's all about the toppings.
