Please read if thinking about eating here. SUPERRR SLOW service & medicore food. I have been in restaurants/management for 15 years. This was by far one of the worse dining experiences I've ever had. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated (only 4 other tables in the whole place) After maybe another 5-7 mins we were greeted by a super friendly server, so sweet!! She then took both our drink & food order. We sat and patiently waited for her return. Watched her kinda just stroll around the restaurant. Our Cheese fry appetizer came out about 15-18 minutes later. Ordered with the ranch drizzle on the side ( have picky eater kids) Ranch was on it PLUS 2 extra cups on side??! Very small portion (it was slightly larger them my daughters side of fries) Although the mishap, the kids just picked thru to get fries from the bottom, For me they were delicious! So at this point about 40 minutes in to this whole experience WE STILL HADN'T RECEIVED DRINKS! She then came back a few minutes later with them, again super sweet but we were so confused by the slow service. Two other tables had come after us and we noticed the same thing. One table didn't get greeted for probably about 20 mins. And one table sat down and just got up and left after not being greeted. (There was 2 servers & 1 bartender working)
I'd say from ordering to when the main dishes came out was about an hour! Again, in a restaurant with less then 5 tables. My son got a Flatbread no complaints. My daughter got kid chicken fingers. They were the low quailty cheap ones you'd get from a cafeteria. She ate a half of one. I ordered the loaded Mac and cheese. It was basically dry noodles with melted cheese. No cheese sauce whatsoever. Some of it was even just dried and clumped together. I had ordered a side salad, end out coming out about 10 minutes after the food for whatever reason, I think it was forgotten. Had to also ask for sauce for my husband's wings (he asked for when ordering) and my daughters applesauce. He also got aspargus & wild rice. Didn't eat either, no seasoning at all. His wings were okay. Silverware was also filthy. So overall nothing to write home about. Mistakes, missing items, poor quality and overpriced. Will...
Read moreHear ye, hear ye, all who wander the streets of Lancaster, PA, in search of sustenance! I bring forth a tale of woe, a lament of salt so vile, it hath left my very tongue besieged and my soul undone—the Prosciutto Flatbread at the MADE Bistro and Bar!
Mark my words, noble patrons, this dish is a treacherous affair, as salted as the sea and twice as unrelenting! One bite, and I was struck down by a wave of briny fury. The prosciutto, that so-called "delicacy," was a veritable salt lick in disguise—each slice more potent than the last, as if the chef hath dipped the entire swine in brine and thought it fit for the table.
But, alas, the salt didst not end there! Nay, the very bread itself—once a hopeful canvas—was smothered in this unholy seasoning, as if the cook’s hand had trembled with the weight of a thousand saltshakers. My mouth, once a land of delight, became a barren wasteland, parched and abandoned.
What cruel fate is this, that a simple flatbread should assault the tastebuds so? I sought to taste the fullness of the other ingredients—the delicate herbs, the crust’s crunch—but all was lost beneath the overwhelming onslaught of salt! It was as though the dish itself were mocking my very desire for balance, for subtlety, for the joy of a well-seasoned morsel.
Let this serve as a dire warning to all ye who enter the realm of the MADE Bistro: If thou dost choose the Prosciutto Flatbread, prepare thyself for a mouthful of salt so fierce, it shall leave thee thirsting for mercy. It is not a dish, but a trial—a test of thy endurance against the tyranny of sodium.
Take heed, dear friends, and save thyself from this saliferous plight. Seek not this flatbread, for it is a cruel and salty jest, and one most unworthy of thy...
Read moreWe did a to-go for a pizza and guess what it was pretty much uncooked inside. Extremely disappointing, I got the pizza for my kid and unfortunately it was too underbaked for him.
We had also ordered the ravioli and steak sandwiches, both excellent choices, especially that breadstick. Absolutely amazing breadstick.
Service - our server was very charming and sweet. Especially very sweet to my kid. She may have been new, when she took my ravioli order forgot to ask what sauce I want it in, I later remembered and went up to her to add, where it felt more like she was doing me a favor. Additionally I had ordered something off their happy hour menu, got billed the whole price and when asked she told me yes but what you ordered was x dollars, but do you want me to check (umm…yes?). Finally it was removed.
Atmosphere - lovely setting, especially their outdoor dining which has a lovely view...
