Lucky buffet — Restaurant in West Memphis

I know my star ratings seems to be a bit confusing allow me to explain. Sometime ago this used to be a popular Chinese restaurant and one day out of the blue it was closed with a sign on the door saying condemned? It seemed a bit unusual because you're in a Walmart Outpost adjacent to a popular Mexican restaurant, but as I referenced earlier one day the doors was chained up and closed down. We see that It's open under a different name and I'm giving 4 stars for service, just for being open. 4 stars for the atmosphere and feeling comfortable. 5 stars for the place not smelling like I'm eating in a bathroom stall like before. So, I've been driving for 11 hours on the road with no breakfast nor lunch, so I am very hangry, and with all of that being said, the overall food experience was overwhelmingly underwhelming and disappointing to say the least. NO FLAVOR OR SEASONING ON THE ENTIRE BUFFET LINE...VERY BLAND TASTE AND SELECTION IS LIMITED...1 STAR FOR THE FOOD AND YES, YOU...

We went on a Sunday for my son's birthday which is the dinner price all day. My son over heated got sick and passed out and my husband and I had just brought our 2nd plate back to the table. I couldn't get him to cool down so we had to leave. I asked if I could take my plate to go being that I just got it and didn't get a chance to eat it. They said I would have to pay the take out price of the food at $6.99 per pound..... On top of the $87 to dine in.. that does not make sense because the food was already plated. I just can't believe they wouldn't let us take our plate that was already made and at our table to be eaten. It's not like we ate got full and ask for boxes to go to the buffet and get more food to go. so our food was wasted for no reason at all because I know they had to throw it away and I paid all that money to not even enjoy my buffet experience. I have always had great experiences with Lucky. This review is for just this day and this waitress. She (Lilly) brought the bill to our table and as I went to pay it, I asked for the senior citizen discount for both parties. She repeated what I said and then looked at me strange. I asked "Do you all give senior citizens discounts? She said, no.

I then said we had always gotten a senior citizen discount when we come here. Her next question was "how old are you?" I told her and she looked at me with a " you lying" face. Any other time I would have taken that as a compliment, but I felt insulted. So I said to her, never mind I will take it up front. She snatched the ticket off the table and took it up front. When she came back there was a discount, but she did not say thank you or you all come back or anything. We still left a tip but not as much as usual. I won't be back...
