Dunkin' — Restaurant in West Milford

DD is what is it’s. But this review is specifically for westmilford nj location. Simple order of a small frozen coffee on a hot day. This was beyond bad. I’m not sure what tastes I was picking up. Reminded me of a spoonful of dark molasses. Possibly the coffee used was cooked down all day in a coffee pot. Then reserved for use for frozen coffee’s. IDK. Or the method they use to sweeten it is loaded in molasses and someone made a mistake mixing the syrup. Again IDK. This review is solely addressed to the “management” at this location, and hopefully corporate management. Hope they care enough to read this. You must pay attention to the whole process. You’re not just there for babysitting of the multiple colorful teens employed there. Attention to the details matter regardless that it’s only DD. Teens don’t know better and you receive a paycheck to manage them in the way I imagine that DD corporate wants you to. Fast food services are pretty forward on preparation of products. Do this follow this method. If you’re not watching, listening, and tasting what your staff is doing. Then you’re not doing your job and only collecting a paycheck for the least amount of work. Mistakes like this happen and are understandable in my eyes. But repeatedly making mistakes comes down to one thing. Fire the current management and retrain the staff. Only way to recover from 3.2 stars. I hope this review helps. And not for the people waiting their money at this location. I highly do NOT recommend this Dunkin, unless you want your order to be incorrect every time. This establishment in West Milford is the most unprofessional and incompetent restaurant I have ever seen. Today, I just wanted to get my usual sandwich, a bacon and white cheddar croissant. Upon opening my sandwich, the cheese was American, and not white cheddar as I requested. I had to turn around while driving & decided to go inside. I wasn’t acknowledged for about 4 minutes standing at the counter with my sandwich in my hand. Very rude. I was greeted by an employee who looked miserable. I tried explaining my situation, and they complied with the mistakes they made. I had to tell TWO employees that I wanted white cheddar and NO EGG! I stated this TWICE! They handed me the “corrected” sandwich and I instantly knew there was egg on it because of the weight. I opened it up in the car, and what do you know, A ROUND EGG was on my sandwich after I stated twice not to put it on there! I also saw the employee read the receipt and they still failed to not put egg on my sandwich. The employees need to get retrained. This is probably the 15th time I have had a problem with my orders here. I also want to mention, the bacon on the sandwiches are ALWAYS RAW!!! I just want to come here ONCE to get what I asked for! I always have to reheat the bacon or the cheese when I get home because it’s never done right. Bottom line. For the past 3 years, I have visited this location at least once a day for a medium iced mocha latte with almond milk. This store has extremely long wait times. Most of the time I receive my latte as ordered. Sometimes they forget to put Mochaswirl in the latte, which is fine, I can deal with that. But I can't deal with what I experienced today. I waited 45 minutes in the drive through from beginning to end. When I arrived up to the window, I received... this. I can't even explain what this is. It looks like rancid tea. I said something to the girl at the window, and she literally just said "have a good day" and closed the window door, as it is currently raining. I am not drinking this. I don't know what is in my cup... But as you can tell from the photos... this is not a latte. There is no milk in here. For me to wait 45 minutes and to pay $5.50 for THIS. I'm extremely disappointed. I will not even be drinking this mystery beverage. The staff at this location should have never served this to me. Photos attached...
