TJ's Pizza Cafe — Restaurant in West Milford

We are on a mission to find the best Margarita, Grandma, & Grandpa Pizza in North Jersey! Yesterday, we gave TJ's Pizzeria & Cafe, West Milford, NJ a try. We ordered: Margarita pie and a Brooklyn Square. Up first the margarita pie. The dough is very fresh, a little thick but fresh.The strange part: Yes, it has fresh mozzarella, basil, and drops of plum tomato sauce but it was over a traditional pizza, meaning the margarita was utilized as "toppings" over a basic pie with regular mozzarella and sauce. So....not a real margarita pizza but will give it a thumbs up for overall taste and the use of very fresh ingredients that "jazzed up" a regular pie.

The Brooklyn Square which is very similar to a Grandpa pie was The BEST of all three. Thick square crust, very fresh. Mozzarella cheese is baked under the sauce - seasoning, Parmesan cheese on top. We loved this. And if you like fresh garlic on your pizza.. this is a winner! We are giving TJ's 4 stars based on this pie alone. A JOB WELL DONE!!!

The pepperoni pie - a traditional pie with fresh dough. The dough is what really helps their pies, the sauce was fine not too salty. Pepperoni was greasy which sits on the pie taking some of the taste from the sauce away. Mozzarella was a thin layer.

Onto the next pizzeria, we are trying one every Friday night. What else is there to do during this pandemic? Any suggestions on what pizzeria we should try next......

The food is great and inexpensive, the people are nice, but every time I go there, there’s an issue... I’ve been over charged, told my food would be ready in 25 minutes, got there in 30 and the cook didn’t even start on my pizza because he never got my order, and finally, last night I ordered a pepperoni calzone, and the worker who took my order repeated it back to me on the phone, and said it again when I picked it up, but when I got home I looked and there was no pepperoni in it. I only like pepperoni calzone so it was...

The food isn't too terrible for the money, but certainly nothing to brag about. A big problem that I have with them is there serving sizes on the calamari. I've ordered a couple times without an issue. But this time, the order was so small that it didn't even cover the bottom of the tin. and when I called and said something about it, they said they weigh it out and that is 8oz. After the call, I saw my scale sitting there and I threw it on there, and it bounced from 5.6 to 5.7oz. Not...
