El Tio Taco — Restaurant in West New York

Service here is poor. Don’t come here. Be warned‼️I came here with my husband so, he can enjoy some food and I was looking at the menu to see if I wanted anything and I could not finish looking at the menu because, rude waitress was rushing me that is totally rude and unprofessional from a waitress. U don’t take away a menu if someone isn’t done looking at it. Then I ask for banana shake they don’t have it. I asked for rice pudding she said we don’t have it neither crazy u don’t have anything why have it on the menu then. Then they give my husband rotten tomatoes with his food smh 🤦‍♀️ the dumb waitress saids it’s because, of the onions that doesn’t make any sense if something is fresh would not smell bad. I can tell why this place is super empty nobody inside crazy and super unprofessional and not polite waitress. I also asked for a huge cup of ice with lots of ice she brings me very little ice. No tip for her definitely not sorry poor manners and doesn’t have...

We went on 10/11/25, early evening. The food was ok, the tacos were ok, just ok because the steak in the tacos was dry and hard. The sauces helped; they were good and fresh. The music was a little loud for a restaurant. But the real problem in this restaurant is the service, at least by the specific waitress that was there at the time. The service was poor. The waitress was not a pleasant person. She was cold, distant, with an attitude...she is definitely not a people's person; not for this business. She needs training. After serving, never came to our table to ask if everything was right. When she brought the bill and we asked some clarification about the total, she reacted as if we were offending her and assumed like a very defiant attitude and posture...we decided to pay and leave the place with the idea of not...

Went to there to eat with my friends and the gauc tasted weird. It tasted like they mixed the batch with probably the old/new and served to us, overall it was off. When I told them I didn't want to be charged for it they said I ate 3rd of the portion when it wasn't true i had 3 bites. Server refused to remove the charge. They tried to convince me that the chef said it was fine (it wasnt) and the owner was too busy to see us. When I told him to taste it himself he said "I don't eat guacamole". Normally would let it go if it wasn't for the fact that they were rude to me and didn't take any accountability. I'm not a Karen it genuinely tasted off and its fine I know I won't affect them greatly on their business but I'm just letting others know what type of treatment ...
