Zoni Restaurant — Restaurant in West New York

This is the BEST vegan restaurant I have ever dined at! Even if you are not vegan, this food is still freaking amazing! I had the Chaufa entree with a cocktail called True and my mom had two appetizers, the Tostada and the Sofrito Empanada. We also ordered Mini Arepas and they were Absolutely delicious! We have never had Arepas before and they were amazing. The Arepas come with a side of their homemade ketchup which tasted so sweet and delicious and a side of green mole, I have never had mole that tasted like that and it was so so soo amazing I loved it so much!! I wish I took more pictures of our food before we ate all of it lol. I just wish the glasses were a little bigger for the price of the cocktail, besides that it was so so delicious i loved the lychee in it🤤! My mom discovered this restaurant from taking the wrong bus to NY and wow things do happen for a reason! I’m so glad she discovered this place. My mom and I were so surprised to see the restaurant in NJ, the atmosphere of this restaurant has a lot of New York, Manhattan vibes and we both feel like the restaurant would do so much better in Manhattan financially. It’s not busy at this restaurant and I doesn’t look like the locals in West New York appreciate it. If they were in Manhattan the locals there would go absolutely craazy about their food. The food is so delicious and because it’s vegan it is so healthy for you I feel like they need more recognition. This food is so amazing I hope we come back soon to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I decided to try Zoni on Sunday (we were running errands and I got VERY hungry). It was late afternoon, so the restaurant was just a little busy, but it didn't feel empty. It felt cozy, and the music was not only great it was the perfect level. I am very sensitive to sound and I was amazed at how the sound was just audible enough to make out, but not so loud my husband and I couldn't have a conversation.

The service was wonderful, and we felt very welcomed and taken care of without feeling overly checked upon.

Overall the experience from a customer service perspective was five star. Now, for the food, I can't do anything but RAVE (it is seriously worth more than 5 stars). I haven't had empanadas in years because I'm gluten-free, and their empanada was HEAVEN. My husband had a soup, which was scrumptious, and our mains were SO GOOD. There was plenty of food, so we boxed up the rest of our mains to go, and I'm snacking on leftovers right now (they are still SO delicious!) We were too full for dessert but will definitely be back to try some! We each ordered a mocktail, and they were fascinating and incredible. I'm amazed and so grateful to have such a fabulous restaurant with earth-friendly/environmentally conscious options close by. We will definitely be returning at least once a month for dinner, and I'm looking forward to having this as...

I was just there with my family and it was amazing. Seriously good food and top notch customer service. It’s so great to have more vegan options in the area and ones that open later in NJ. The staff there tonight - absolutely friendly, caring and helpful. My family and I ordered many items. We ate so much and did not regret. The sofritos and the Mongolian noodles were our favorite. The other dishes were also good such as the empanadas and the portabello steak. Their beans and noodle dishes had a lot of good flavor and taste. And let me not forget to mention their chocolate cake was really good and moist, not overly sweet and didn’t make you feel heavy after eating it. Overall I would recommend and come back for their nachos which was sold out tonight. They’ve only been around for a couple months but their reviews are spectacular for a reason. Come support and eat cruelty free. Thank you for existing! And thank you for a wonderful night out....
