Master Pizza Livingston, NJ — Restaurant in West Orange

Let me just say, it is an utter CRIME that this place is rated as low as it is! We have been looking for a go-to pizza joint in this area for over a year now, and have stayed away from Master Pizza since it is rated lower than Turano's and Fortissimo. On a whim, we decided to give it a shot and we will NEVER go elsewhere AGAIN!

The pizza is easily the best in the area. The crust is a little soft and doughy, which I LOVE. Just an amazing slice which upholds the NJ pizza standard (better than any NYC slice, fight me if you disagree). I've had hot subs and strombolis here and they are equally as amazing.

Where Master Pizza truly shines is the service and overall customer experience. Their website has a great, intuitive interface that makes online ordering painless. No matter what I've ordered, it's been ready for pick-up in 20 minutes! The workers are very friendly and hospitable, and there is never any drama nor shenanigans when you go to pick up your order.

My only regret is that they make acquiring such delicious food so easy and pleasant. I may never financially recover from this.

Trust me and give these guys all of your hard-earned money. These other reviews are FAKE NEWS! If this review can help to deprogram just one person to come to the beacon of light that is Master Pizza of Livingston, NJ, then it was worth it.

I live locally and as many others have mentioned the pizza is burnt(underneath) . The bottom is so dark you can literally peel it off. It's unevenly cooked so I believe they heat up the oven to maximum to over cook, so your pizza is done throughout. I have ordered several times and finally nicely told the owner(slim guy) are pies are often burnt. He got extremely defensive and offended. Despite me trying my best to approach the situation with care. They do make my food I would never be rude.. I was told that "you don't have to order here if you don't like it anymore, our oven runs hot it's nothing I can do!" I was extremely disappointed by his lack of customer service especially after ordering literally hundreds of pizzas through the years. This burnt pizza has been only the last year or so and I hoped they would listen to customer feedback. They assume because they have a monopoly on the area everyone likes the food, not the case buddy my neighbors feel the same. But when you don't feel like driving for pizza, and you have hungry kids you make due. I can't deal with horrible customer service, you want to see a angry owner ask for your pizza lightly cooked. Unfortunately it's the only way to get it...

Went to this Pizzeria for the first time during a Lunch Break. They Have Great Pizza, but when I went here to get take out, they did not let anyone in(Covid-19) instead one of the workers stood outside and took your order and payment, then disappeared inside for 5 minutes and came back with your order and receipt . I chose to pay with a Debit Card, to find out...hours later My Debit Card was used in San Francisco....No prior Issues with this card, only after visiting this pizzeria. I’m very careful with my card, I only use trusted sites, and have had this one for two years with frequent use. Could of been the worker, but most likely their payment system might of been hacked. There’s a similar Review from 11 months ago, not even considering possible victims who didn’t write a review , or even realized it could of been at this place. I Called and spoke to the owner to make him aware of the situation. He was not apologetic at all or even acknowledged that they would investigate it. Instead he got very defensive!
