Pollo Tropical — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

Johana is an amazing manager and great leader. The only thing me as a former employee having to be let go due to Adriana, Maria, and another other female employee josefa and miltad.who black mailed my manager to fire because they didn’t like me. The reason they didn’t like me was because I brought to light there laziness there unprofessionalism and took them out there confort zone. Johana was put in a situation to either let me go or lose three people employees who play a role that can’t be filled immediately, or so they assume. it’s sad that johana who works triple has to deal with people like that. Adriana always on her phone and with her boyfriend inside the store when johana isn’t around, maria a very disrespectful person to other employees and verbally abuses the new comers who are just learning and to customers. Employees are afraid to speak up because they know the minor power Adriana and maria has and a couple other employees who think because they’ve been there for so many years they have a right to be abusive because they think there untouchable. This abuse has to be addressed. Regardless I enjoyed my time working with johana and the employees who work double to make up for the lazy assistant manager and abusive crew leader and lazy workers who just make the new workers be there slaves.I’ve never met a manager like johana so fair with everyone and kind and hard working to have co workers who betray her like this. Just one more note these people even sabotage other workers and plant tricks and errors to make them take fault in something that they didn’t commit. Even with the cashiers putting bigger bills in between the one dollar bills so that the register can be miscounted. Truly disgusting all behind johana back. I give my thanks to johana for a great experience but that store will never prosper with the snakes decaying the nature of pollo tropical. I’m affected quite a bit emotionally because the week we’re i was going to be promoted...

I didn't want you to give me a refund for something I ordered, even after I had to wait for it again after they gave my order away. The only way this could of happened is if the other people had a duplicate receipt right? We're all human and no matter how good you might think you are, error is inevitable but could've been avoided if we pay attention. I had to hand over my receipt so that the can re-do my order since it was no longer on the screen. When I finally got my order I began to check it. The surf and turf had a small two bite size chunks of meat. I showed it to the attendant at the counter and told her to add some meat to the order and she rudely told me she couldn't because that is how she was taught. So, I said I can't accept that. She proceeded to the register and gave me back the money for that order. When I worked in hospitality i would rectify my mistake by offering something complimentary. You need to teach your manager...

The young lady who took our order was super helpful and friendly. That was the only positive for this place! We get to the window ready to pay for our order only to be told they are pretty much out of everything except mango slushes or soda (which my family doesn’t drink soda we originally ordered lemonade and mango drink) so we opted for the slush. Only to find out it cost more with the kids meals. But what I found baffling was that the kids meals included chocolate chip cookies which they also where out of and still charged us for! Finally get the food it was hot but very bland. No seasoning whatsoever. We couldn’t go back to the restaurant as we were just passing through on our way back to SC. I used to live in Florida years ago and Pollo Tropical was one of my favorite places to eat which is why I stopped in! The food is no longer as flavorful...
