Johnny's New York Style Pizza — Restaurant in West Point

Great salads, subs and pizzas to be had here at Johnny's and the food is always fresh and cooked to order! The waiting staff are friendly and rarely allow your cup to hit the halfway point before they offer you a refill or your drink to go. My food arrives pretty quickly each time I'm here. This is a great place for college students and everyone young and old to meet and eat! The calzones are wonderful as is the pizza. The salads are fresh and a variety of dressings are available. Subs can be made hot or cold and they have about 15 different toppings for you pizza fetish! Free parking is available right in front of the restaurant but lunchtime parking is super packed so avoid the lunchtime rush and go earlier in the day or later in the afternoon around 3pm. I have visited many other Johnny's prior, and this one continues the tradition of good food and good service. When the word New York is stamped on a company's logo, I expect the food to come very close to the type of food I used to have when I lived in NYC. The food here, doesn't disappoint. We were seated and had our orders taken within the first five minutes of walking through the door, now that's service! I did what I usually do and asked our server for her suggestion, and she suggested the steak sandwich. It was delicious. I also ordered a pizza to go, and that too was delicious when I ate it about four hours after leaving. All in all, food + service = win. Super friendly staff.... I'm assuming they are local college kids, from Point University, but maybe not. Just, VERY pleasant, agreeable, informative, intelligent, respectful, and they all seem to get along very well, as a functional and EFFICIENT team. I will say I carry-out more often than dine-in the last few years, and I miss the ambiance, but the food is consistent either way. Besides all that greatness, the pizza, Stromboli, Calzones, and appetizers, are DELISH. I love the fact that I can grab a slice for lunch, QUICKLY, while at work. The pizza is BY FAR, the best I believe I have had..... with the exception, MAYBE, of the old Terry's Pizza in Huntsville, AL. 5 stars for Johnny's, either way. Just go!
