I visited this restaurant for the first time and was really impressed. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding—later, I found out our server was the owner's son, which might explain the great experience. Because of how much I enjoyed it, I decided to go back the very next day. Unfortunately, the second visit was a huge disappointment.
The food wasn’t nearly as good, and the service was downright terrible. Our server seemed uninterested in serving us and gave off the vibe that he just wanted us to leave. He never came back to check if we needed anything else, even though we actually wanted to order dessert. When I mentioned this, he acted completely indifferent, as if he couldn’t care less.
Overall, our impression of this place went from a solid 5/5 to a 0/5 in just one day. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless you’re okay with being treated poorly by some of the staff. It's unfortunate how quickly a restaurant’s reputation can be ruined by a...
Read moreRecently on vacation and spending a night in Beaver , I enjoy Mexican food and decided to try El Mariachi. Having been to Mexican restaurants in multiple states, I can say this was mediocre to just plain not very good. I got the 3 Enchiladas plate with beef tips and 3 different sauces. The beef tips were tough, all the sauces unremarkable and it was expensive. Although it wasn't busy the waiter brought my food then pretty much ignored me. Unless you have nothing to compare it to, this may seem good, but to me it was not. You should also know that unless you pay cash, they add a surcharge to use a credit card which is the first time I have seen this. Considering it was more expensive then better, cheaper places I have been, it seemed like the final slap in the face. In small towns like this your choices are limited but honestly I'd go to one of the fast food places nearby before I would go here. Not that I ever hope to find myself in...
Read moreI had takeout, so my experience was limited. However, in that short time frame of waiting for my food, I was able to appreciate the atmosphere and service. The lady up front said that it would take about 10min for my food to be ready, and it was. She was very kind and helpful, and did her best to find me some takeout silverware. The food was actually quite authentic. Nothing tasted artificial to me, a southern border-raised Hispanic. I've a lifetime of Mexican meals, both homecooked and authentic restaurant food, and this one tastes just like a restaurant would down there. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and not overdone, the steak was tender, and everything was properly seasoned. And for the price, this dish was massive. Easily a...
