**UPDATE: Spoke to the owner and she gave the manager advice on how she should just give the customer the corporate phone number next time However, she also said that everyone in the store heard what I actually ordered; so now we know why the wait time is so long, they are consumed with listening to everyone's order instead of just simply repeating the order to the customer for accuracy. Additionally, she offered me 10% off my next sub (which literally comes out to $1 off). I passed on the offer of a lifetime and will use the "POINTS" I earned from the sub order "heard around the world" to get a free sub at another location.
Very rude manager, everyone else I encountered was actually pretty friendly. I went to this Jersey Mike's location today to order sandwiches for my family after a long day's work. I came in and was greeted by a nice young lady and ordered two Chicken Kahunas, because my husband does not eat red meat. My son-in-law was with me and after paying for the subs I looked to see on the receipt that I was charged for 2 #56 which is a Big Kahuna but not the chicken one. I immediately went to a very friendly guy who said that we will take care of it. I felt so relieved until Amanda, the manager, came out with the order saying that I had ordered the Big Kahuna and that there was nothing I could do about it. She also stated that she was present when I placed my order and heard me order a Big Kahuna which she was not. She then proceeded to tell me that I could reorder the sandwiches and pay for them. I said what sense does that make because I would have 2 sandwiches that would not be eaten and would have paid for 5 sandwiches. Needless to say, I left with the sandwiches since I couldn't get a refund either and called back to the store to ask for the phone number to the corporate office and she proudly told me to look it up online. So I did and have placed a complaint - for her rudeness. I really don't understand how the service industry has gotten so bad that when your employee makes a simple error and I completely understand....it happens, but to be so rude to customers that patronize your establishment is absolutely unacceptable. Just as the receipt states that I am a dine-in customer when it was clearly or take-out. Why should I have to pay again for what I originally ordered. So I am writing this review as I make dinner because my husband cannot eat this sandwich. This experience has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and such a disappointment from the store location on Williamsport Pike in Martinsburg, WV right up the street from my house. Perhaps Manager Amanda needs more training and until then, I will take my business and my...
Read moreI went in for a sub with my grandma today. She can’t read well, and has disabilities. When we got to the counter to order our food, everything went great, except when we received the Steak & cheese sub- which was made incorrectly. I immediately took it back to the counter before taking a bite and asked for it to be remade. The woman who was near the register started to rebuttle me, saying how my grandmother asked for it the normal way. Incorrect. When we were ordering, all she said was, “I’d like just cheese and mayonnaise please.” Never did she say Mike’s way, onions or peppers, or ANYTHING other than those words. After trying to prove a point with me about how which way is Mike’s way or how we ordered, I just said okay and asked for it to be remade anyway. She refused and only said we’d be able to get another sub if we paid for it, but get a 20% off discount. Really? That means nothing to customers who have already spent their money on something that should’ve been made right the first time. This was around 5 pm, April 15. That was a completely unnecessary experience that you had to put a...
Read moreI stopped coming here and any location because they don't change out their gloves. On multiple visits I seen them take a rag and wipe the counters down, then wipe their hands on their apron while proceeding to make my sandwich. Rags carry bacteria that can potentially cause food poisoning and other food Bourne illnesses. You don't change your gloves, and on occasion have gotten mad when I asked to do so. Today the same thing happened, the manager working knows me because we have had this conversation, she still proceeded to wipe the counter down and the cutting board and grabbed my sandwich. I just took it and left, I felt this time it was personal. I couldn't even eat it knowing what happened. I want to bring my food back for a refund but the way I was treated I will never come back. Someone should train this team on food safety and sanitation before the health department is...
